Hello, I’m finally nearing the end of my first grow and I’m trying to stay patient I just don’t want that to lead to waiting too long since I have no prior experience to go off. Anyways, I obviously don’t know how to use a camera but If anyone could tell me based off these pictures how close I might be it would be much appreciated.
Day 55 of flower out of 55-65
I started the flush a week ago (in coco) I just gave her plain ph water last night and is currently down to 71ppm (base of 58) but not much color change so far so I wasn’t sure if I should start her on her 2-4 days of darkness with “tonight’s” lights out.
Also some of the trichome heads look Purple, is that normal?
And as always Thanks again for all the help so far!
Were the pictures taken on leaves or on the bud? Strain?
May have been one of the sugar leaves? I have to cut a piece off to get a halfway decent look but I try to choose one of the tiny single looking leaves off the bud, so not sure what that’s classified as… and this is a Gorilla Glue auto.
You want the pictures from the bud.
short of cutting buds off the plant I’m not sure how to get a clear look let alone an actual picture. though I guess I could just wing it.
It’s tough. I have a hard time holding my USB Micro still too. You are close. There do appear to be some ambers (but that could also be lighting) and mostly cloudy. The suggested indoors timing is 56 days from flower. Did you measure the flower time from light flip or from the first pistils appearing. If it was flip I’d add 7-10 days.
I honestly don’t know when it started to flip, not that I did anything to force it into flower but being my first grow I wasn’t paying attention as I thought the listed “flowering time” was the full life cycle of the plant not just the actual flowering portion but it at least started its main stretch 55 days ago. Most of what I’ve checked has seemed to be cloudy with maybe at most 20-30% amber. But if those are the sugar leaves would they be further along than the buds?
Yes sugar leaves mature much faster. 95% of the post]stills should be turned and the bud trich’s should be 90% cloudy 10% amber.
Well at least I didn’t harvest 2 weeks ago like I originally thought. but yeah I just ended up snipping off a tiny bit of a bud and it could probably go a little longer still. hopefully next month I’ll be able to afford one of those digital usb microscopes. I’ve seen some pretty good shots with those and it would be nice to not have to snip my plant almost daily just to see how its doing. but thank you for the heads up I’ll try to keep a closer eye on the actual buds.
I agree, go by buds not sugar leaves.
Yeah, it’s just tough with how shaky I am and someone had suggested cutting a piece off but I really didn’t want to have to actually start snipping buds. Seems counter productive.
