First Grow ever Need lots of Help

Approximately 4 weeks in flower. I really appreciate your looking and giving me guidance. I am definitely not good at judging these things. I’m going to post pics of the other 3 tomorrow to get your opinions on those as well. Thanks a lot!!! So with Autoflowers I should plan on a 10 to 12 week Flower To Harvest time?

General flower times are 8-12 weeks in my experience. The Indicas I’ve grown are usually ready around 10 weeks but some as early as 8 and the Sativas usually push the 10ish to 12 weeks. Same time line for Indica or Sativa dominant hybrids. :love_you_gesture:

Im Growing Purple Punch from ILGM. 80% Indica 20% Sativa. So I should harvest around 10 weeks? Is that correct?

My leaves aee starting to turn yellow and I am not sure why. I have my light as High as it can go and it is only a foot above my plants. @OGIncognito

Could be a few things Grow Bro, resembles a potassium deficiency which is needed more during the flower transition and several weeks following. Calcium is also usually accompanied with a potassium deficiency. I always go to my run off PH or a soil slurry test to check the root zone PH :love_you_gesture:

What is a soil slurry test? I am using Autopots and Jacks 3 2 1. Not sure how to do run off with Autopots.

@OGIncognito what measurements would I take with a Soil Slurry Test? What meters do I need to buy and what info will it give me?

@OGIncognito also what do I increase with Jacks 321 to make the plants healthier.

I keep it simple and only use silica with jacks. I recently (3 grows) started using the 4/2 schedule. 4 grams of part A and 2 grams of part B. Part A contains magnesium and sulfur so I omitted the Epsom salts. I forgot you were running auto pots so no run off to check. What’s the PH after you PH down the nutrient mix. All in They look pretty good and wouldn’t stress…seeing some nice color in that last pic. Looks just like an Orange sherbet I grew early this year.

So cool! Love the pics. So you are using 4/2 in all stages? I will definitely switch up to that when I refill my reservoir. I lost my PH meter. What is a good one and what is beat method for testing?

Yep, start to finish. Do you check the PH in the reservoir a few days after you add it. It’ll drift upwards and needs adjusting. I go in at 5.8 and it can drift upwards to 6.5 sometimes. I also only mix 4-6 gallons in the res at once :love_you_gesture:

I have been mixing 12 gallons at s time. I dont check it after adding. Didnt know I was supposed to. I will start. Is there a reason to mix only 6 gallons? I will order a New PH meter and start checking it. So should I keep it in between the numbers you just gave me? Thank you so so much for your help!

The stagnant mix PH will drift and needs periodic adjusting. I go 4-6 gallons because it gets consumed quicker and less adjustments needed. I also run wave makers in the res to keep the mix moving around to help mitigate the drift
. 5.8-6.2 is the PH range for coco, in veg I run 5.8-6.0 and 6.2 in flower :love_you_gesture:

What wave makers do you recommend and what PH meter do you recommend?

I like the Apera 20 PH pen, very accurate and not expensive. Pic below is the wave maker :love_you_gesture:

The Apera 20 PH pen is 55 dollars does that sound correct? Just want to make sure I am buying the right one.

Yes and I see the price has gone down. I would order the kit if you can afford the extra cheddar. Cleaning and keeping the bulb wet with storage solution will help with it keeping its accuracy and calibration :love_you_gesture:

Does that include PH up and PH down for the reservoir or do I need to order that as well?

Only the cal solution and storage solution. Look for GH PH down and up. Doubt you’ll need the up very much. Do you have a TDS pen if not I recommend Blue Lab :love_you_gesture:

I have a cheap PH pen that reads 5.88 right now but i dont know how accurate it is. I am going to order the one you suggested.

Do you stick the TDS pen in the water just like the PH pen?
