Thanks Growmie that is very humbling to hear!!
I’m out of likes so big guys got ya…
Lmao! Even better
Wow your really going get that??? I found a grow tent an humidifier work best but to each is own… plus it’ll be pretty cool to use that … An I bet the buds come out great an yea I can’t wait till you get my package either but shhhh on here
U put cinnamon on seeds to help germinated faster I’ve used myco’s tho an aloe vera powder all were effective n if u put seeds in water u can put lil hydrogen peroxide in there to help seed germinate or lil fish shit by fish Head farms or scratch with a nail file very careful
My bad bro
Scratching the head with a nail file seems above my scale of comfort lol but I am interested in trying cinnamon and doing a test to see if it germs any quicker
Day 0-
Seeds are showing signs of germination and will be placed in a solo cup with some mykos sprinkled around the bottom of the seed. I saw people mention a humidity dome for the first 3-4 days of the seedling growth so I will place some smaller clear solo cups over them.
I know I jumped the gun on the drying process but my temperatures and humidity had me worried. After researching the “Lotus Method” I saw this was the best option in my scenario (plus my wife likes win). I may buy this thermoelectric wine cooler

Can get down to 46 degrees, has a circulating fan inside, and uv protected glass in the front. I’m excited to see how it turns out because I will never get into the 60’s at my house.
Should I go to the lowest temperature possible of 46? Or is there a sweeter spot I should set it.
@Roadsideorganics.ok Thank you for offering your advice. I was told to make a grow journal for all my questions so I am posting here, Still pretty new to this site.
Bought pumice and mixed it in, seeds almost germinated and the journey is about to begin. ![]()
Day 1-
Wasn’t certain how successful germination would be so I did three seeds and each one sprouted from shell. I placed into separate solo cups with some mykos underneath. I misted the substrate and misted the inside of the clear cups.
Do I start my 18/6 schedule now?? They’re still under soil but should sprout soon. Is this considered day 1 or when the plant emerges from the soil??
I cannot grow all three was going to attempt to put the two healthiest looking plants and unfortunately compost the other. I only have 200 watts and still unsure if this will suffice for two but fingers crossed.
Very cool! Budbrother is a good source for diy organics, if you have any specific questions I would consider looking him up on here.
Also, if you’re starting in something small like solo cups then i wouldn’t worry about using anything fancy. I like roots organics original blend for the fluffy consistency and mediocre nutrient charge. But anything like this is ideal for starting seeds.
Thank you! I’ll take a look at some of his journals.
Looking good to start! Seeds in soil always feels good.
I count day one as when they emerge from soil - but that’s just me!
These are autos, right? If so, turn on a 20/4 light schedule. The couple extra hours of light each day will help with give the plants that much more energy from your 200w light. Autos don’t need to follow the 18/6 or 12/12 cycles that we use for photoperiods.
Yes they’re auto apple fritters, was hoping an auto would harvest by mid October. I never considered running lights longer to compensate but that’s smart. I’ll try the 20/4 light schedule for this run and possibly all my autos. Thank you
Day 3-
When I inspected the cups I noticed one of the seeds tap root was growing upward so I instantly pulled that one because I wanted the two healthiest looking to grow.
One of my seedlings is cracking out while the other still has its head buried. Is this indicative of anything?? I’m sure some seeds take longer than others but it looks like the shell is splitting while still “buried”.
Day 3-
Realized the humidity cups were starving the plants for air so removed them and the plants are looking nice and healthy. Now if I can only figure out the heat issue then I am good. So far a cool mister has helped about 2 degrees but it won’t be ideal to dump humidity into the tent later on in the plants life from what I’ve read.
I’ve considered adding another inline fan and duct so I can fully have the air blowing out of the room as opposed to right at the entrance.
Day 5- Saw one of my plants “praying” this morning so I’m thinking the water situation is adapting.
Found bugs that I cannot identify on one of my plants. I’m almost certain they aren’t spider mites or fungus gnats. They are black and jump when touched. I’ve noticed them around the cotyledon that is yellowing but this was yellowing prior to them showing up.
Could this be black springtails? I have made them leave the plant (they jump) about twice now and they keep going back to that cotyledon area.
Either way I found a way to make sticky traps with yellow sticky notes and honey. Hope to see what is caught in the next couple of days. Think I will just leave one in indefinitely due to using living soil.
Bro I usually dry my bud In high 70s sometimes low 80s you make do with what ya got but you learn lil tricks along the way I wish I had a special place jus to dry I kno I then could really do it right but my buds are top shelf like I said you’ll learn a lot of things
Yea she doing great
Yeah the pictures you’ve shown me and what I’ve seen on your page look really nice, I hope my bud comes out looking like that. We’ll see if the wine cooler “lotus method” works out but it also doubles to free up my tiny tent so I can start another grow.
Thanks bro! Now I just need to get this thrip situation handled and hopefully smooth sailing after that ![]()
