First grow ever! Auto BBY

I use it too with FFOF and it’s fine but BE SPARING when you do.

The thing you have to be careful of is the P and K in the trio can cause issues while the plant is in veg so you don’t need it until flower.

Until the canopy of the plant matches the diameter of the pot it would be better to not water to runoff. Do as @Missiles suggested and you will be fine.

Thank you guys! I really appreciate it. @Missiles the only reason I picked that brand is because I see it spoken of a bunch here in the threads. I haven’t bought any yet and my ph up/down is atlas. It was just cheaper and came as a kit with my ph tester.

Hey guys check out the new lighting 300w plus the little 45w that I had. Be honest please and tell me what you think.
P.S. - my wife bought me the viparspectre 300w for a gift so I have to use it. It looks good I thought. Feed back please

I’m not up on my lighting but I’m sure dbrn will have some input for you

That was very nice of your wife to buy that for you

I know it’s not the kit you guys said to get but she just won’t let me spend over 100 yet, until I prove I’m going to get it. I understand cause money is tight right now…:joy::joy:…it took me a month to save up and get my seeds ($119)…hahaha…

Anyways…, so Day 1 of the new light 300w (prob 150 true watts from what everyone says). So I added the 45w at a pretty steep angle just because I thought it might help with the different part of the light spectrum. We will see what happens. Thanks again fellas for all your guys’ help!

Also I only put the light about 20” above the plants. That should be pretty good right?

I would say between 18 to 20 inches is cool. I would just watch your node spacing and if your plants start getting to leggy you could lower it down a bit until you get what you like.

No biggie, we all answer to someone like that haha. 20" seems good, your plant will tell you if she wants more or less.

I have one of those and use it. It advertises 130w actual draw. Most mine ever reached was 122w. It still did good job. Got my white widow to this point and I let the QB take over

This one plants leaves are kind of dropping but no discoloration. Not sure why? I have gone from watering twice a day with a spray bottle to water with 6oz of water once a day. If the soul is still moist where I make the circle, then I try to wait until the soil is dry. It’s third set of leaves are about to start. Hopefully you can see it. The drooping is minor but I noticed the change because I look at them 2-4 times a day! Maybe just over watered a bit.

IMO too much water, damping off the plant. Water in a circle out several inches from the seedling and keep it domed until it takes off.

This is why I transplant up.

Ok will do!

Hey guys check it out today! Going on day 19-20…the one is taking off super like. There’s so many leaves now!!!:clap::rofl:…the other one will catch up I’m sure. I actually took the smaller light out because of the heat issue and came home today very surprised at the growth just in 10-12 hours.

They are also still on the 24hr light cycle. Is that still ok now at this point? Also will there be a point where I need to give them some darkness?

I’d have them on a 16/8 cycle until flower.

When would you start adding the Nutes? I haven’t ordered yet but can get them fairly quickly. I think you said 3rd set of leaves right?

If you are in coco then yes. If in soil, no.

No, I am in the FFOF soil.

Also it’s really really tough for me to be able to work out that 16/8…what are the disadvantages to the 24hr cycles on an autoflower? I guess I could get a timer huh…??..lol:rofl::rofl:
