Long time smoker, first time grower.
I am growing these flowers in a very basic setup keeping costs down. Yield wasn’t the goal. More curiosity, fun and learning.
My very first seed was a seed from a bag of shake. With my luck that first one turned out to be male and was disposed of.
So, I started from seeds using an online seed bank. I decided autoflowers would be the best start for me.

I’m assuming that’s wattage draw for the leds(you’ll probably need at least 1 more light at flowering time) but I’m looking forward to seeing pictures of your girls, my only tips is to get lux readings (assuming their not blurples) and to make sure your seedlings are at about 6k-7k and to peroxide solution your seeds I’m 1.5 weeks into my 1st grow and learned so much GOOD LUCK
The second Mango Kush that is further into flowering had a rough start. Deformed leaves at the beginning and a stretching bendy stem. Since it was my first grow, I figured I’d let it go so I could compare and learn some differences.

TBH I have no idea. The LED count is what was on the box. Still learning quite a bit. Trying to get by for this first grow with these basic lights and will likely invest in a real grow light for the next run.
My seeds were germinated straight in the soil.

Water and Nutrients:
Tap water here is pumped from the aquifer and not treated. PH 6.5 from tap.
During vegetation they were fed once or twice with Knox Gelatin mixed with water.
I am feeding Humbolts Secret Flower Stacker to the flowering girls. (not on any regular schedule though. more like once a week) The burn you see on one of the Mango’s leaves is from a too heavy feeding last week. Aside from the damage done, all seems fine and pushing forward.
I am also using Liquid Worm Castings to water all like once a week.
I should mention that I am also growing some things on the patio. Okra, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Echinecea, Peppers. So I wanted nutes that could be more universal for those plants as well.

Thanks! After this first feeler attempt I will likely invest a little more for the next one. I sort of had to prove to myself that the return is worth the investment. Personal mind games
Whether things are going well or bad, I’m enjoying my time.
For the next, I am thinking I will work with photos to see what that’s like.

These are two of the lights in my list as I research and decide on next steps.

I learned why people toss and start over when seedlings don’t do well. These two are from the same packet of seeds. Mango Kush
The one on the right had a rough start with deformed leaved and slow growth but eventually grew healthy leaves. The one one the left sprouted one day before the right and is still early in it’s flowering stage. The right seems like she’s over the flowering hump.
I guess the benefit is I get to harvest something fairly soon and will get to try out my first home grown meds.
Lessons learned from these two plants have led to some heavier LST on my younger girls early on.

Every now and then you just get bad beans. I got an order with 10 bad Blue dream autos once. I just dropped the last one and 2 days in. It just gave up.

I noticed that with my first set of the 3 Mango Kush seeds. Only 2 sprouted and they didn’t grow evenly. Other seeds from the seed bank but likely different grower have done well.
I have some bag seed germinating now to experiment with. Figure I won’t mind bending/breaking/cutting those to start with.

You are going to soon wish you would have spent the extra couple dollars for a Qb light. There really is no comparison between a qb and a purple light. I started with 6 of those style lights and ended up replacing every one with a QB. I basically tossed about 500 away since there is not much re sale value in them. I had all viparspectras which were pretty good at the time. Just my 02 though.
And it is rare for me to receive bad seeds. But it happens.

Part of my issue is that I may only be able to grow for part of the next year. Plan to move in the summer and not sure my new living situation will accommodate any size grow. So as long as I keep costs below the value of the bud produced, I’ll be happy.
