First Grow: Autoflowers

It sounds like you thought this though :+1: I just mentioned it since there is a return window. A really good up side to QBs are they are adjustable. I only use about 100w for 2 plants in veg now. Another way to look at it too is if you try and sell that light next year. It will be worth very little where with the QBs. You will get a large part of your money back. Not trying to change your mind. Just showing up sides to the extra 40 bucks
I will looking forward either way to watching more autos grow. I love how, one they take off. They really get with it

Ha! I totally agree. It is all very tempting. I have no idea why I waited so long to do this. I’ll likely have to go incognito in January and might move next summer. Selling the light was something that never crossed my mind tbh. I’m know myself and I’m pretty sure after that first harvest, I’ll fall further down the rabbit hole.

Aside from those auto seeds I have growing, I have some other experiments going on with some bag seed. There’s a few on the patio. One FIM, one topped and one that I am not sure yet how I will torture. Inside, 4 bag seeds in a 6pack container that I want to try leave small and make 4 single small colas. Also putting a couple in a like a half gallon pot with a soil mixture that I was experimenting with. (reclaimed potting soil, fireplace ash, powdered milk, and will be watered with worm castings) I’m pretty sure pH will be an issue in those so I want to see what that’s going to look like.

Also got my new light in today, so I did some reorganizing and tried to even out the canopy.

I have both Veg and Flower on and timer set for 14hrs of light.

Random Seed. She’s been tortured in every way I can think of so far. And I plan to continue. :smiling_imp:

Random Seeds in various soils. Will stay in those pots likely.

Random Seeds. Experiment in a box already on a 12/12 light cycle.

Random Seed She’s growing along on the patio. She just lost her male sidekick.

@DragonBear the look splendid just wonderful nice mix of cloudy and amber very close congrats

Thanks, It’s been fun for sure.

The first to finish will be the runt to had a rough start. So in my book, it can only go up from there. :crossed_fingers:

I really regret not trying this out a ways back. Very recently learned about autoflowers and had had confidence to finally try.

In the meantime, this will be my smoke for the week.

Looking good.

I’m kind of excited to see what surprises my bag seeds are going to make, but those plants are getting tortured. In the future, I’m on the fence about trying to grow them.

But they are hard to ignore when you find them.

Just found these in some purple buds I ground up from today’s purchase.

I got some bag seed from a friend. Some of my best stuff. You literally can not kill what ever strain it is. I know it is a sativa and well liked though.

That’s my hope too. I plan to use the bag seed weed for edibles as a worst case scenario.

Drying conditions weren’t ideal to say the least. The small Mango Kush was harvested after week 6 of flower and dried for 3 days. Then trimmed (a sorry excuse I admit)

Dried weight of buds 13g
Dried weight of shake 1g

This one and the other Mango will be used to make edibles. I’m pleased. I wasn’t expecting much from her. The next one will be ready in a few weeks. They were planted together.

This is my torture victim. Though she seems to like it. :smiling_imp: Bag seed. Was started on the patio. Transplanted her into a 5 gal with roots organics Lush and brought her inside.

I had attempted to FIM in multiple places and started bending stems where I could.

This is how she looks a week or so later.

Today I trimmed her down and FIM every area I could see. :man_shrugging:t3:

We shall see how she recovers.

That is more than I got for my first. I didn’t read up and thought a few hours of sun would do it good.
I was in miracle grow. Tap water, no food. The good was. I could only go up from here  And you are definitely doing better with the other one there. I think you will enjoy that a little morebeing it is your first.
