Ok, who is willing to admit they’ve clipped a bud early – because they just had to try out the goodies, ready or not. I’m so curious. I use clippings to infuse oil/butter, make candy, etc. But – bud?
I always try a couple buds when it’s nearing the end.
Do you dry them – or just clip and light up? Should I activate them in the LEVO or oven? I find this time frame – fattening up – to be so slow. I have no patience.
@GrnyGrows Wrap small bub in paper towel put in microwave let go few seconds check it as drying it
I dry all kinds of herbs in the micro – so I thought this might be the path. I have small buds I should cull from some plants – thought they might get me through to harvest.
Put in the microwave on high for 1 minute. Grind and smoke. It works. You don’t need a paper towel or anything else. Just place it in and nuke.
This will show you how the high is. I have been doing this nearly 3 years now. I stumbled on this nugget from a post that was done here.
I occasionally find a bud clipped early that I hung in a random spot to dry enough to burn but then forgot. So I guess yes. Found one yesterday and the verdict is delicious. Though the mother is in the jars now and the info is a little late.
@GrnyGrows like a chef finger deep into the ‘pot’ as you cook dinner lol. They say never trust a skinny chef so maybe there’s a way to spin that into you pinching off a mug to ‘taste’….?
@GrnyGrows blaze away my friend happy growing
Yep, I use my LĒVO! It isn’t a long lasting high, but it gives me an idea of what to look forward to.
Yah i try before its ready i dry it then smoke it
I always take a bud here or there as I feel they might be close. If I like what I get from the sample I know pull plant and it will be a cpl few days further ahead of the trial piece. U can harvest the plant in multiple harvests too. Don’t have to be one harvest and done. Take all the tops and leave bottoms a week longer and get them a bit further along for a better taste and high.
