Yes it is!!

One more question why wouldn’t you have two pH your water

I use Happy Frog dry amendments at half strength…

I just bought some larger pots just because when I get a larger plant they seem to get hungry towards the end. I’ve been growing autos in 3 gallon pots and photos in 5 and it’s fine when they stay fairly small like in a sog grow but I’ve been growing some bigger ones lately and I’m having to do some teas to make it to the end. So decided to go with 5 gallon tall for autos and 7 gallon tall for photoperiod. This is my photo tent now they’re in 5 gallon pots

Could you explain that why at half Strength and what kind of soil are you using

Yes you can get it to hot, with ocean forest it has a lot of amendments in it already so if it was me I would probably just to add my bacteria n fungi to it, I would add 1 tbs per gallon of soil, then top dress them like normal for flower

I believe he means when using living soil, he wets the top of the living soil daily.

Lol @MeEasy so many questions I figured id answer that one for you haha

Earth Dust has living organisms in it to make your soil a living soil.
Yes you water it, I water daily some days it’s just a little some is more you don’t want to overwater but you don’t want it to dry

I mix my own soil’

4 parts coco coir
1 part composted manure/worm castings
1 part perlite

I use half strength because we push our plants to the limit. Most manufacturers base their feeding schedule on this. I don’t feel all this is necessary. My plants do alright.

Im going to be using Gaia green nutrients and added worm castings here soon. I’ll let you know how it goes… Worm castings contain microbial life right? Haha

There’s a hundred different ideas out there on the right way to water organic living soil, and it’s the hardest part of growing organic because it’s easy to over and under water.

Living soil has microbial life that assists your plant with nutrient uptake.

Hello sir do you get your castings locally or do you have to order it? If you order them, what company/where to order? I got some on amazon just wondering if theres a better option…

Amazon is probably your best bet. I do buy my composted manure locally. I use Black Kow.

Living soil relies heavily on the life in the soil feeding the plants. Feed the soil, not the plant is the general idea. Think of a woodland floor and how it stays damp under the layer of leaves. That’s what @MeEasy is trying to mimic, I think. Constant moisture, not soggy, not dry, just right.
BTW, build a soil is having a sale this week on their premix living soil and some other stuff. They have a lot of educational info on their web site, vimeo and YouTube

Oh me too. Usually I’m pretty quiet around here. Sometimes I get to babbling though. These young kids type 100x the speed I do. You’ll see I have to edit a lot of posts cuz I fat finger the dang tiny letters
