Anybody ever grew Pineapple Muffin? I see it flowers in 45 days so they say. What strains have you grown outdoors that flower in 60 days or less?

Photo plants will start flowering when Daylight hours start getting shorter. My particular area about frist or second week of August. Good luck

Most plants are capable of flowering at some point between 4 and 7 weeks, though we have seen them flower as soon as 2.5 weeks and as late as 12 weeks.
Photo plants will flower as soon as they are sexually mature when given less than 12 to 14 hours of light per day.
Strain has nothing to do with a plant’s flowering timing. It is more of a genetic phenotype issue.

Summer Solstice is when most photo’s start the transition outdoors. After this day the plants sense the days are shorter consecutively. For me I see pistols 1st wk of Aug every time.
Maybe try an auto outdoor?

Maybe check out a new product line of fast flowering photoperiod seeds from fast buds, see if something like that is what you are looking for. If I’m understanding it clearly, the flowering time is shorter, but I don’t think that the time to get to flower is shorter.

Hmmm the last paragraph. Jamaican Dream for instance, an EVA seeds strain says 45 days, so do many others. When you say genetics isn’t that strain dependent. Not all strains have the same genetics. Some strains or Genetics if you prefer do indeed have shorter flowering times and I’m talking photos.
I feel we have strayed off topic a tad though. What early flowering say September outdoor strains or Genetics have you grown?

I’m growing two fast strains now Gelato and Skittlez. I’m looking for straight photos as there is too much hermophidism in anything that contains a hint of ruderalis, ditch weed or hemp for me.

There’s loads of “fast flowering” photoperiods out there. Not all of them are ruderalis genetics. I have some fast flowerers myself, not specifically refined yet but the idea was to get a stable strain and some fast flowering strain, breed em together and pheno hunt down the offspring with the fastest flower time. So far I’ve got a couple winners, but they’ll need to be self-crossed to further solidify the “fast.” Which ironically is anything but fast.
Anyway point is, some “fast” or “early version” photoperiods are just the result of strategic breeding by selecting the phenos with the quickest flowering time and earliest sexual maturity and reinforcing those traits over several generations.

@Graysin I agree with that. Good luck on your breeding project. I’m just looking for the fastest flowering photos for outside as it’s best if they are done by say October 5. I’m specifically looking for photos that finishing flowering by the end of the 7th week of Flowering which starts here roughly August 8th.
I’ll report back when flowering is done on my fast flowerers. I couldn’t even begin to guess how far in I am.
I had a Cinderella 99 fast flower from Canuk Seeds who seemed like she was done by 7-8 weeks (honestly don’t remember). Their Northern Lights fast is allegedly a 6 week flower - I haven’t grown that one yet, but I’d believe it.

Is there any trade off with potency or yield for a fast flower variety? Or did those genes just find a more efficient way to get the job done in less time with no drawbacks?

I certainly saw no loss in yield or potency with the Gelato from NA but I’m having issues with hermophidism in the Skittlez Fast. I’ve also grown Strawberry Banana fast

How tall and how much yield did you get from the Cindy 99 @
With some moderate training she was about 4’, and about half a pound in a 2 gallon pot of coco. Just shy, if I recall. ~210 grams. But that was with a medium veg time, maybe 12-14 weeks of veg (counting from sprout to flip, 14 sounds about right).

The fastest outdoor plant I have ever run was Rasta Jeff (irie genetics) strawberry starburst. It was done on September 10th. Excellent strawberry terps. All 3 plants I ran were in this window. Got a 5 pack of regs 2 boys. Nothing in the description led me to believe this was a fast finishing strain. It was a nice surprise.
I am glad it was early finishing because the lowers I left to fatten up after the tops did not hold up to the seattle rain so well.
