Expected Growth Pace?

I’m on my first indoor grow and 4th grow ever. I’ve had two decent outdoor grows completed but I’m still very much trying to learn al I can and improve. I feel things are proceeding okay but I have no reference indoors. photos are day 6 above ground and day 10. Organic soil. So far so good? Forgive the crappy photos.

Photo basic timeline. Veg till happy with size. 6 weeks to 3 months veg. 2-3 weeks flip. 8-12 weeks flower. Total up to 5-6 months for large yield. 5 months smaller yield. Auto just flip on their timer. The photo you choose when. My preferred type is photo. If need fast turnaround can go on 12/12 light from start. They will grow and auto flip when mature just like an auto. Smaller plants. Still plenty. But fast turn and no light changes.

Thanks Storm. This is a photo and I do plan to quadline her to keep the height down so for now we’ll just see how it goes.

Here are examples no training just a fim. Small kush fimmed were vegged weeks only. Kush clones. Flipped small.

Jack Herer vegged a couple months then flipped. No training/topping at all. 2.5 times the size.

Beautiful plants! When you hit a photo with 12/12 from the beginning what do you mean by it results in “'small” plants (typical yield). This seems like something I’d like to try for a quick turnaround. Thanks again for the input.

Cannabis flowers when MATURE. No matter size. Light at 12/12 they will flower when mature. At 18/6 they will continue veg even when mature till light cycle changes.
Typical growth for a 12/12 photo start to finish will just about match an auto. Stretch doubles plant. One thing about a photo done that way is can go to 18/6 BEFORE mature and continue veg. Can be sent back into veg from early flower by light schedule back to 18/6. Easier to repair issues. MANY ways to skin these cats.

Thanks and this validates some guidance I’d heard before. I see this happening in my future! Happy Holidaze!

You also and hope it helps. 1 thing you can do is if have a chance to clone experiment. Do some with hard veg. Some short. Some straight 12/12 in flower tent after a 10 day veg. Pick what you like. Clones are free and no loss plants for experimenting.

It’s helpful and appreciated. This first time was from seed but you gave me a few ideas to play with.

These girls are a month old. Ive topped once. Organics is slower paced but more forgiving.

Thanks for sharing the pics for comparison. I’m good going organic. I can live with the limitations.

Also keep in mind when flowering begins, the plant will double in size. You want to start flower so as to NOT outgrow your indooor height below your light.

Agreed, soil in general is slower than hydroponic or soilless, and keeping your leaf surface temps up during lights on.

Thanks again for all the good advice everyone. I’ll try to get all the pics together and start a grow journal, but after topping and cleaning the first two modes here’s where “Princess” stands today just shy of a month . Happy New Year’s!
