How long do yall dry for/hang and at what temp and Humidity any suggestions??
Hey there!
I just chopped and hung 3 Pineapple Express Auto today. I am at 26C 56%RH in the box - I aim to get that to about 50% tops - and expect 8-10 days. Closer to 8 because it is my summer - end of.
If I asked for perfect natural drying conditions it would be 60 - 70 degrees and humidity 50 - 55%. Closer to 55% is better. I have some drying now. The temp is 75 and Rh is 56%. The buds are drying in a large cardboard box so the Rh is a little higher. 7 - 8 day dry is ideal. That rarely happens. I do not have the luxury of a separate temp & humidity controlled area. The number of days totally depends on drying conditions. If the temp is higher and or the Rh is below 50, the time will be shortened significantly. The caution here is to check the buds and small stems regularly so you do not over dry them.
Don’t rely on the number of days. Check the buds.
I should also mention how you prepare the bud for drying impacts the drying time. I have leaned more toward dry trim and hanging whole branches with most of the sugar leaves left of the flower. I remove all the long stemmed leaves (fan and sugar leaves). It also depends on how compact / dense the buds are. The northern lights I am currently drying have small buds (pheno of this clone) so I leave more on the bud.
When dry I will trim a lot of the sugar leaves. Makes fantastic dry sieve kief.
I hang in my grow room, not inside my tent, though. I cut off the big fans then hang the branches on hangers for 7+days. Sometimes, if they’re drying too fast, around day 5, I’ll cut off the buds and box them a few days.
My grow room stays about 70F with 45%-50% humidity. Not perfect for drying, but it does ok.
Alright thank yall @blackthumbbetty @beardless @Budz420 well Appreciated i just threw in my humidifier to my tent/drying Process, 2nd day of drying i threw em up on sewing Thread aha but Thanks Seriously!
