Dry Herb Vape Users! What do we think of the LOBO?

I’m looking at getting my first DHV to minimize combustion, but chiefly to experience the full spectrum of flavor and potency from my buds.

A lot of DHV are artisanal devices costing like $100’s, so the LOBO looks really good for $159 or less when on sale. It seems to meet a crossroads of portable, easy to use, with good reviews on vapor quality and flavor as well.

It has a sort of insertable pad for use with concentrates also- I would possibly use dry sift or bubble in it if I were to use that, and have a separate rig for rosin/more liquid concentrates.

So I KNOW you guys have DHV’s! Let me know what you think if you have a LOBO or even a different model you would recommend that checks all those boxes

I have two Lobo’s (one for a backup) and I got one for a buddy. We really like our Lobo’s. I always use the dosing capsules which are easy to clean. I especially like it with a bubbler (or bong) with the glass adaptor.

I don’t really know how the Lobo stacks up to the really high end devices. I will say that I think that it is an excellent value.

I really like my LOBO has changed how often I partake, easy on the lungs, and no issues with it, easy to clean and carry.

Edit: @JMBLeaf I went through a number of vapes (a lot of money) before landing on the Lobo. I keep my eyes open for possible upgrades but have seen nothing that gets my attention over the Lobo.

I had the volcano Hybrid and didn’t rate it…never heard of a Lobo but will check it out as I’m after a new vape

Is it a portable or desktop ?

Thats what I’m hoping to avoid. The DHV community is small and so I’m glad to have your first hand exp to draw from. If you don’t mind me asking what other units did you find inferior? Any that you thought were better/ just as good? And have u ever tried kief/bubble/dry sift hash in the unit with the brillo-esque pad it comes with?

I started with Ghost MV1 which went out of business. The MV1 was finnicky to use and didn’t hit very hard.

I then got an Arizer EQ which is a desktop unit. It worked well but was bulky (similar to Volcano). I liked the Arizer EQ. Purchased two of them to have a backup.

I then decided that portability would be nice so got the Lobo for portable and the Arizer for TV. Within a week of getting the Lobo, I put the Arizer in a box. I have been using Lobo daily for about a year.

I put kief on top of the loaded dosing capsules from time to time. I tried using ethanal extracted wax using the pad. I worked fine but was a pain in the butt to clean. If I decide to vape wax I will find a device that is designed specifically for wax.

Edit: I purchased a second Lobo for myself as a spare and one for my buddy up north.

Tried most of the hash type of stuff in it, bubble hash mix it with bud or it will make a mess if not, the pads work for dry hash, temple ball hash very well.

@Bentstick I might use some trim bin kief/dirtier sift in that case then. I had some really great kief that lined my trim bowl after this last harvest that started to melt when smoked. I imagine something like that would mess up the device after a while

Mine has been glued to my side over 2 weeks now, may need to get a backup just in case.
Haven’t combusted once in the past two weeks either :+1:t2::oncoming_fist:t2::green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

I saw your thread after starting this one… of course :joy:

It’s basically sold me on the Lobo. Next time i have some extra $$ to treat myself with, I’ll be getting one. With the extra dosing capsules too most likely

Definitely get the extra caps and holder. I run through about 8-10 caps a day which is nothing compared to when I was burning. And the weed I’m smoking right this secris the same I have been smoking for over a year and I get way higher and different high with the lobo, I’m sold yo on a Lobo :oncoming_fist:t2::green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

Lately I’ve been smoking herb again after about a year hiatus. A chillum i packed on the 4th (maybe 1.5g bowl) is still sitting half smoked. Granted, it was loaded with an A+ bud from the harvest, and that melty kief to boot… I imagine 8 caps might last me a few days of regular toking, or even a week haha

I was worried about loading the caps but I got it down down :oncoming_fist:t2:
Easy to dump out, quick blow and clean. Haven’t deep cleaned anything yet but the screen. It gets burnt out every couple days, a quick bic fixes that. I need to deep clean my mouth piece and holder but can’t put it down long enough to do that :drooling_face::green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:
