Dry/cure time for weed that will never be smoked?

From what I’ve read 7-14 days is the standard of drying.

For curing I’ve read 4-8 weeks.

Do I need to dry/cure for the standard times if the weed will never be smoked by anyone?

It’s all going to edibles.

How fast after harvest/dry can I start using it to make edibles?

What’s more important is dry/free of moisture if doing QWET. If you are cooking in oil to make butter you don’t even need to dry flower.
