Hi guys my fabric pot medium doesn’t want to take in water I’m using Coco coir and Ive added microbes to the soil ,now will microbes stop the up take of water I’ve never had this issue before until I added microbes to the Coco coir

No, but getting too dry will. Coco is susceptible to becoming hydrophobic quite easily, that is one of the reasons so many suggest not allowing it to dry out. There are a few different methods that could help you fix. Try Google or YouTube search for fixing hydrophobic coco and see if any are easy for you to do.

As mentioned about sounds like you allowed your coco to dry out to much and has become hydrophobic you can use a wetting agent to help with the absorbency of the coco

Every morning my outdoor girls do this. they dry out so fast and that’s with full water in the am and given a small drink in the afternoon. Just give a cup or so and let it soak in then it will start to drink it up normally.
