What are the pro’s and Con’s of using a vacuum sealer to store flower?
I’ve sealed Mason storage jars before. Don’t directly seal your flower. It will compress your flower into rocks.
I’ve used them but always press the stop button as soon as it starts pulling down the buds. Make damn sure your dried properly first!
Good idea.
Here’s another idea that I’ve used with long-term food storage that could also be used for weed storage. They are packets you put in that prevent degradation (oxidation) by removing oxygen from the storage space.
That has crossed my bean a time or three
Just wasn’t really sure of the product or the safety of use. Yeah yeah, sometimes I’m safe or try to be. Like not eating the leafs off of synthetic grows
But I’ll burn 3-5 cigarillos a day
Fly 150+ on 2 wheels, ect
So you have used them and haven’t noticed anything diff with your foods?
Nope…
Right on, linked saved
Nope, we have very small grow space, it wouldnt sit long enough to benefit sealing.
I thought the invention of zip locks other than the vacuuming part was just as good.
Remember that it has to be in a space completely sealed for airflow for them to work. Air, such as in a Mason jar, is fine. It becomes a problem if that air is continually refreshed, even if very slowly. They won’t help if there is any air leakage.
Thanks for the tip
I have heard if you vacuum seal in bags it crushes the bud/trichs. I have heard of people jarring them when ready for long term storage and then putting the jar in a bag and sealing that so the bud is protected in the jar from being crushed.
I wouldnt vacuum seal, maybe heat sealed without vacuum. We have that option on ours.
yes that is pretty much what happened to mine, I will have to admit that one little piece would burn for a long time, didn’t hurt the flavor
I have that feature, I think I will just go back to jarring it.
Will zip baggies turn the buds to rock too?
No, if you do not vacuum
Do you mean zip lock baggies?
I have a sneak’n suspicion we could have a lot fun get’n in ta trouble.
I smell T R O U B L EEEEEEE
Never thought to do that. Thanks I will try next time around. As far as waiting till it is fully dry, I pulled my white widow a little to early. Had to re-cure it forever.
