Different plants at different stages?

I just started flushing my hydro setup. One of the plants seems more advanced then the other, with much more amber pistils … I don’t want to loose it but the other doesn’t seem ready and so heavy it’s going to break… I don’t think I can separate any suggestions?

I’m confused, why not just chop the one that’s ready and let the other one continue on? Is it the one that’s not ready that is too heavy? In that case time to start tying em up to something.

I just tied up more. They are both on the same hydro system so I just started the flush… So I guess I could cut the plant that is smaller and has darker pistels and leave the other one in flush longer?

Do those look close to harvest in your opinion?

First three pictures I would hold off. Last picture looking pretty done to me.

In my humble opinion a pre harvest flush is probably not necessary. In any event I believe you can flush in hydro very quickly, days not weeks. So you just do a couple day flush, then resume normal operating procedure after chopping the first one, I think. Let me tag a hydro guy and see what they think. @peachfuzz

You can do a selective harvest…
Cut down what’s ready and let the rest ripen…
I do it all the time…
I will even leave the trunks still in the system until everything gets harvested…
They are only usually about 2 or 3 weeks apart depending on strain…
I run a rdwc system with 6 plants in each tote…

Thanks. So can you cut off some off the buds to dry and leave some of the other buds to continue flowering? Or take everything off one plant and leave the other?

And since flushing would you add nutes again for another week or 2 then flush again?

I tend to harvest each bud as they ripen…
I usually never cut the whole plant down at one time…
When your dealing with this kind of setup, it’s hard to take a whole plant down…

This is a 4x5 double scrogg table and I usually have 3 tables going at all times…
Lately I’ve been lazy and the summer was so brutal that I’m only running 2 tables at the moment and really not even one table because I’m cleaning everything really good and will be putting the next table into flower in a day or so and in about 4 weeks will fill the other table… :+1::wink:

I’m using an ebb flow setup and the setup this time has been tough to work with. Will have improvement for next time,…
So if they are harvest as you go, when do you flush?

I never over feed so I never really flush… :+1::wink:

Do you throw away the hydroton or recycle?

It’s a new batch
This is my first grow. I have been changing water weekly and adding nutes weekly.

I ordered loupes to look at trichomes.

I don’t use any media , only when I’m starting out new seeds , other than that I mostly clone and I only use neoprene collars that fit snugly into my net baskets for plant support…

check trichomes @jambi1214

@jambi1214 trichome check.

I won’t be able to until Thursday.
I just know if some should even wait until then. On some buds there is about 90% amber pistils
