Determine yields Potential 61.8 gr / sq. ft

I agree with the above. I woukdnt move her at all. Let her cook as they say. Cannabis is a very hearty plant and can still kick past the first frost. Youll just have a late harvest and an awesome xmas ! I wouldnt dare try to move that kind of weight. I have a kiddie pool i mix my soil in and when its full there aint no way im moving that more than a few feet :rofl::rofl:

Thanks MLC,
Appreciate the input. Yes I am in what’s called the tri-state area near Cincinnati. (35 miles from downtown) I live in god’s country out in the boonies but I have the luxury of bigger cities in Ohio and Ky if needed. I avoid downtown Cincy.
So yes the weather this year started hot, then rain every day, now we are in a drought, all in about 2 months. It is much easier to grow indoors with the extreme changes we have had. Last year it was a good thing I set up a couple of 50 gallon tubs to catch rainwater off my roof. We didn’t get much rain last year but when it comes off the roof to downspout they fill quickly.

I am glad I reached out to you all. I was really thinking of just letting it go and see what happened but, I also had someone tell me they would transplant it. I would have got it upstairs somehow, with help of course, but I wasn’t looking forward to it. Live and learn. I was going to use free light and I like being outside tending them. I don’t like winter anymore, it sucks!

Next summer I will try one photo again outdoors. I think my autos will probably all be indoors from now on because I can’t get 1/2 the yield outside that I can get inside under my lights. (WEATHER or not?)

I included one picture from yesterday afternoon. Enlarge it and guesstimate how big the buds might get just letting her remain there? There are several more buds on the plant that you can’t see, they are the same size as the ones you can see. I know that’s not a fair question, I think?

Thanks again everyone!

I’m still pretty new to outdoors, but it’s my understanding you should see significantly more yield and higher bud density outside so I’m surprised to hear you’ve seen the opposite. If only with autos, it’s likely something root related causing your issues. They tend to trigger flower based off root health because they’re from the tundra and usually end up much smaller in pots than in the ground.

I prefer indoors too though and agree with the level of control you have on the environment you can guarantee a potentially higher quality product. They say all the weather stressors boost terpene production though, so I think with a great growing season you theoretically get better quality outdoors.

Do you have any locations on the property that see a little less shade maybe? Density is typically light related indoors so that would be my best guess for seeing less density outside.

Guessing at weight only leads to disappointment and unfortunately has been shown to never increase your yield. I’ve seen plants twice the size weigh out at half the weight and vice versa. Density plays too high of a variable and that’s not something you can evaluate in a photo. Your true yield won’t come in for another few weeks though as you appear to be at or near the bulking phase. My structure outdoors is looking fairly similar (1 inch node spacing with 6-8 nodes a cola). I’m guessing a pound plus per plant with a 6x6 canopy. That’s if they fill up with resin and pop out during bulking though, otherwise it’ll half.

MLC thanks again sir,
I want to say I agree when I consider all the reading and researching outdoor grows. I also read the strain can change how you tend one somewhat . Crazy!

I did move it about 15 feet since the first pic I sent about a week ago and now it 's getting about an hour and 15 minutes more direct sunlight. It looks better today than yesterday. Standing next to it, I swear, it seems there are more colas than yesterday?

The weather has kicked my butt on my two attempts for outdoor photoperiods. First time it was too hot. In the 90’s and no rain. I was buying distilled water from walmart and then I said enough is enough. Too much cash was being spent on that one. Mother nature didn’t help with rain. It got to the point where I was using my hose, although I have a softner which I read helps?

Then this spring into the first two months of summer, it would rain every day, sometimes 3 times a day, popup showers out of what was a blue sky. Three times a day we got 1/2 to 3". I tried to cover them up but many came so quick it was too late. I don’t move so fast anymore either.
That’s my story and I’m stickin to it! They are now saying on the local Cincy news we are going to be sunny and mid 80’s to low 90’s for a couple weeks, no rain, then again, only low 80’s. Most of the time they can’t tell you what it’s gonna do tomorrow, let alone 2 to 4 weeks prediction.

I have a couple of autos that will be hanging in the next day or two. 3 others soon after. I think they are a mix of GDP and SLH. If I can’t determine for sure, there will be some sativa and indica mix happening. Oh well, I won’t let it get wasted. (like i’ll be)

Thanks

Nice! Yeah they’ll soak up the sun so always give them everything you can. Mine are out in an open field basically and honestly could still use a little more light. We were pretty light on rain but had a few weeks of colder nights already. Braver than me moving them around in flower though, once buds start showing I fasten them in for the ride.

Once the bud sites start showing you should see vegetative growth stop as stretch ends and bud development begins. You should be seeing increase in bud site stacking but not additional branch growth.

It depends on the water. I’m on well water so no worries with Chlorine but I do have trace amounts of Fluoride. I run everything indoors through an RO with a remineralization cartridge. Outdoors I run it through one of the waterdrop garden hose filters. Really the main concern is chloramine for most people which can be off gassed by letting the water sit for 24-48 hours. I believe the waterdrop filter removes chloramine as well and was actually pretty cheap on Amazon, plus it’s supposed to take the Fluoride out as well. Worked well for me so far this year.

Well it’s a sad day. I was forced to harvest 3 SLH autos. The endless rain early in the growth to no rain, and now no rain with the heat kicking in. I will take that. t I had to cut down earlier because I base it mainly on trichomes. They are cloudy, milky looking and the pistols have been amber for a few days now, not sure because I base it more on the trichomes.

The sad part. I had the same strain, from the same order, and those had more yield on 2 branches than I have of three plants from the looks of it? I hope to get an oz per plant when weighed after curing.

I garr own tee it wont go to waste!

So now, take off APF! She seems to be doing well, other than the big very bottom couple of leafs are about 1/2 yellow. Maybe I need a little Nitro after the transplant about a week ago?? Now that the heats back with plenty of sun might help it also?

Hi everybody,
It’s been a while but I have a question for you. I can’t seem to find something concrete about photoperiods.

As I said before I had moved it to a large container in preparation of moving it inside. The weather has been the best it’s been all summer (knock on wood) so it remains outside.

It hasn’t fully matured and probably has at least another month before it’s close to harvest, maybe a bit longer would be better, I don’t know yet?

My question is since it still has a few weeks should I be feeding them any nutes? I haven’t done anything other than water since 8 weeks of FLOWERTIME fertilizer, after 4 weeks of GROWTIME fertilizer.
Again, I can’t find anything concrete?

Thanks

Good nutes you are using, IMO and practise I feed up until chop, may chop once dry back after last feed. Sometimes not.

Ok thanks. Actually a few hours after sending my email I did some Flowertime. I only did about 1/2 my normal dose, but I am doing the rest of it this morning. I was reading and this Apple Fritter (APF) is hybrid, and considering the way the summer started here it should be near harvest mid October. Being I transplanted it to a container for taking inside never happened, and I was careful to get most roots, I am sure I stunted it a little?

It was supposed to be an SLH auto seed. For that reason it caught me off guard.

Thanks again
