Dennis 62 simple grow #23

Good day yall here we are at day 1 of this new journal and I want to welcome all, I have been doing the same thing for 8 years, 3 grows per year, 3 plants grow, changes here and there to improve the process, Simple means simple, I plant, water, feed and harvest. I use lights and fans in a 2x6x6 closet with no ventilation, so simple, no need for trying to control the rh ph, simple.

Most people here know me for growing in miracle grow potting mix with fairy good success, well I don’t push anyone on miracle grow products, it is what I had when I first started and I have worked out the kinks and I have stuck with it, even after finding this forum and learning all I have here.
But I show what miracle grow potting mix is, and why I continue to grow in it. But my methods can be used in most well draining medium. More to come.
I grow in 3gal plastic pots lol  not a problem.
I start off with 4 16 quart bags of miracle grow potting mix, feeds for 6 month stuff :+1: I want all my pots to have the same make up, so my one thing I do keep track of PPMS, so I start off with 4 3gal plastic pots on my kitchen floor and I open one bag splitting evenly into 4 pots, pack it down and repeat with each bag until pots are full, which takes 3 1/2 bags.

First off miracle grow potting mix is kinda damp in the bags, but I consider it dry.
I now poke a 1/2 to 3/4 hole in the middle of each, drop in a seed, lightly cover Now important, I want to wet the soil Where it will take care of a one week old newly sprouting seedling which will put down tap roots that will burrow several inches down in a few days if the soil is damp, and the surface roots will spread out as far as the tips of the young leafs, or what is called the drip line.
So I use a 16oz cup of water to seat the seed by watering around the seed very carefully not to disturb it, but pouring in tight circles again and again until the cup is empty.
Now each seed has damp soil 4 inches around and 5 inches below that will satisfy them for several days, I don’t add water to the root zone, but I use a couple tablespoons to make sure that the seed never dries out over the next couple days.

Three days later I have seedlings!!! All four popped on the same day, and I don’t need to water for several days, no helmet heads, all happy and healthy
Early lemon berry

Girl scout cookies extreme

GMO

Last up Sugar black rose

Okay so I have no a few days to explain further about what I do, Please follow along I promise I will do my best to keep you posted throughout the grow step by step.
For today I am going to tag those people who showed interest in my last grow, and sorry I may not answer anything today I am heading out for the evening and will be unavailable.

Thanks @Dennis62 Lookin forward to watchin this grow. I been using MG seed starter in solo cups for a few yrs and they do great in it. Fox farm soil where I can get it is $30 a bag, no thanks. I reuse my soil each yr. I just refresh it with the usual stuff. That’s why I’m anxious to watch this grow by just watering. I’m all about being easy and simple. Giddyup. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
