Dark almost blue around the edges of leaves? Send help lol

What could be causing this? Lights or deficiences or too much?? Light is only at 40 % and it was getting close to her so I moved it back to 14 inches away. I also used happy frog soil. It was hard to get a good picture of it but i tried

Looks like you’re in early veg. Looks like a slight reaction to nitrogen. Some girls don’t require as much as normal. This will darken the leaves. That would be my best guess. I’ll let some other people time in.

Heyy so, I havent added any nutes other than a few weeks ago and even then i did 1/2 teaspoon wen i aksed for 1 and i put it in a gallon amd ahalf intead of 1 gallon. I also only lightly sprayed the top soil with it only 2xs. Its fox farm grow big at 6-4-4. At first it was just my photo period plant with the dark leaves but now it is also on the auto. Both are almost 5 weeks. The auto is starting to flower. The bottom leaves have obvious brown spots. But i cant shake the dark almost blue/black on my tops and new growth leaves. I have been just giving water for about 2 weeks. Thisbis my firstvgrow and im not sure if i messedit up or smething that will resolve or is this justvgoing to be the new look? Is it still going to grow? I know i need phosphorus for my flowering plant eventually but im scared to use anything but water now.

Its hard to see in pictures. Will someone help me please put my mind to ease or help me on the best option moving forward. Thank you!!:heart:

I think you’re getting a little wound up for nothing. There’s pictures look great to me perfectly normal. You’re going to see some slightly darker than others. Nevertheless,

all of your plants are the same age?

You have not started feeding nutrients whatsoever?

What type of soil are you in?

What type of nutrients are you going to be using when you start to feed them?

Have you watered to run off yet to check your ppms and pH? (If you haven’t you should)

Everyone gets upset very easily when they see something that just doesn’t look like the magazine picture when they’re new. we all have been there. I think you’ve done a wonderful job so far you deserve a lot of credit.

Well thank you for that! @Lostgirl and i am very much a perfectionist with anything i do. I dont expect these to be perfect or anything lol just want to make sure they are still going to serve there purpose  Once i seen the same thing in the auto flower i did start to worry. They are both the same age. I do need a water ph tester i baught one made for soil and its at about a 7 so i dont know how to bring it down. Also, thank you @Bigfoot1

You’re 30 plus days into your grow in Happy frog soil. You need to measure the PPM runoffs and pH of your soil. This is extremely important. You’re at the point where you may possibly need to start feeding or very close to that point. You’re also to the point where things can go very very wrong if you don’t have the proper tools. Take that meter that you have above and give it to Grandma it’s going to do you no good.

Order this as soon as possible if not sooner

Depending on how much you’ve been watering your plants Happy frog soil has enough nutrients to supply your plants food anywhere from 30 to 45 days so you’re definitely in the zone that you must check your runoff to know how to proceed properly or things are going to go south quick.

That meter will do everything you needed to do. It will help you feed your plants and check your soil and pH of your soil. This is very important I can’t stress that enough.

Do you have pH up and p h down if you don’t while you’re ordering that meter buy some. You can get them cheap by using the brand name general hydroponics. Ph up and PH down you’re going to need it sooner than later.

You can’t let your pH get out of range or you’ll lock out your uptake of nutrients and your plant will not be able to eat this is not good and it is a pain in the ass. I’m serious for you not having a meter or testing your water or adjusting anything you are extremely lucky your girls look very happy and healthy. However, get those three items pH up PH down and that meter and we can help you proceed with perfection. Guess work don’t cut it with this.

What kind of light do you have?

Are all your plants in a tent? Are they in the same tent?

Yeah when i was reading about the nitrogen i realized i probably need to invest in the ph up and down as well.

I forgot last but not least do you have calcium magnesium? If not you need to get that as well very important

Also very cheap on Amazon when buying general hydroponics brand it works wonderful

Well i do not expect perfection, this whole thing is very tedious. I honestly wanted to just try and experiment but found that i actually enjoy learning and watching them grow. They are in my closet. I also didnt mean to get photo period but figured i would just switch both the lights when ready to 12/12 since the auto doesnt need the schedule to do its thing.

Thats the set up 18/6 and the fans one oscilates on the plants and one jus sucks the air out and both are on for 7 mins and off for 3.

At this point I really can’t suggest much to you except getting that stuff ASAP you absolutely need it if you wish to proceed further.

Next time you water don’t add any food/nutrients. If I’m not mistaken I think you wrote that you fed them some nutrients a week ago. You’re probably should not have done that. Until you check the runoff pH and ppms I suggest just water you probably have another week of nutrients if you’re lucky that is still in the preloaded soil.

When you get those items come back then we can get you on track.

Yeah i realized i shouldnt have once we last talked and so i said that i have just been using water since even before i asked since i can obviously tell there was an issue going on. I was just wanting advice on how to proceed so thank you and i will try to get those items. I appreciate your time and advice.

I don’t know anything about your light but I think you’ve got your light too close to the plant and turn down too low.

I’m not a light expert but in veg, I move the light to 25 in above the top of the tallest plant and turn it up to 75%.

Since I know nothing about your lights I’ll let one of our light experts help you out.
