I didnt understand the relation on using a bigger pot and being able to do just water vs a smaller pot. If anything I wouldve assumed it to be the other way around. Either way the roots will stretch out and take in whats there.

There has to be a high enough volume of soil to hold enough nutes to sustain the plant. Smaller pot= less space for nutes. You can restrict plant growth in other healthier ways besides root restriction.

I’m in a 3g at the moment but will be using a 5 in future… that’s interesting I wonder if smaller pot uses nutes up quicker … interesting to say the least

If you can read the fine print, the KIS says 7-gal min size for complete grow, else top dressing of Nute product (KIS-Special) is required/advised.

Thanks, do you use this? I been looking for that reflective covering you had showed me. Is that like a paperish material? I wanted to put up some siding on this greenhouse house frame and thought about the kind thats like a board. Do you know what im talking about?

White Gloss paint is cheaper.
@Indacut
“Diamond” design reflective material was your question, I believe.

I have always used white paint. It is infact better than any shiny reflective material unless it is made for the purpose of reflecting and diffusing grow lights like the one @DEEPDIVERDAVE posted above. Not all shinys are created equal most don’t diffuse the light very evenly. Even if they are highly reflective. Thats why the inside of your tent is textured.

@DEEPDIVERDAVE had suggested something along the top of this post but it was just a pic so when i went searching for it, I wasnt sure which thing was it exactly. I found this

I was thinking I could repurpose my greenhouse tent. Bring it in my basment for a grow tent over the winter.

The plasic that goes with it tore off during a store so the frame has just been sitting. To get just a new covering is damn near the cost of just buying a new greenhouse. I didnt want to just toss it. I’m trying to figure out what I could use to make it like grow tent.

Radiant barrier probably isn’t the best option. It’s designed to reflect light energy, but not to diffuse it evenly.

you could get white light dep plastic and make your own cover relatively cheap. Maybe smooth FRP panels. I’ve even used unfinished masonite and painted it white.

Thanks!

So did you get your tent into the basement? Curious to see what you got going on.

Not yet still clearing the space. Turned out to be a little more work than i thought. So im still in my lil vivosun.

You probably already figured this out. That soil feeds for about a good 3 weeks. Being that the top dressing doesnt feed rt away i put it down assuming within the week it would start taking it in. I started getting some yellowing. Probably had i top dressed the week before it would have gotten what it need rt as it was starting to deplete from the soil.

@Budbrother can I ask for your assistance/advice please. Hopefully I’m overthinking and the issue is starting to correct itself. Its been about a week maybe week and half since I did the first top dressing using roadside organics. I have been watering with filtered 6-6.3ph water. Is this nitrogen issue?

These are from a couple days ago. I can get a today pic later if you want. The ones that were yellowing of course continued. However I’m honestly not 100% that its not still moving. I think its just the ones that were already turning. Im going to start taking daily pics to make sure. What do you suggest?

Idk why the picture came out in that grid style above so the left one kinda got cut off

I noticed that at about 1 AM last night when I posted. ILGM “upgrade”. I clicked each.

Anyway, I wouldn’t worry about a single leave and you said that you just did a top dress. Plant looks healthy. Adding a little bit of Gyp won’t hurt you. Adds the sulfur ya need to. Paint bucket lid says the pot is about two gallons. It would be closer to the lip if it were three. Call that a half a tablespoon of gyp. Flowering demands are going to require the calcium anyway. Best to be on top of it out from demand for bio availability

Thank you for responding. I don’t have that on hand but I do know they have it at home depot earth science. I will grab some on my way on in. How often do you add that? Or just follow the package instructions

I use often in different phases from soil building veg flower. For your case as one of the additional input for pre transition TD. Past this here. Again Wk1 & 5 they burn Ca on par with NPK demands. More a micro than macro.

Hey guys, I got couple questions for ya. Not sure if I’m just getting anxious impatient or not but I feel like my plant might still be tossing out pistils. 5 weeks into flower shouldn’t there be color changing happening?

Then the other thing is on my other plant, I’m getting some brown dry/crunchy spots. When i touched it, it crumbled typed crunchy. I’m water roughly every 2 days, I kinda dont feel like thats the issue.

What are yall thoughts?
