'Color' of trics & buds

They’re chopped, its time & maybe past time?

They sprouted the 2nd week of April & i finally just harvested. A long road to say the least.
They flowered at the end of Aug so i figured to harvest the end of Oct, 8 wks.
Its the ‘color’ im concerned about. Im approaching 10+ wks out from flower & my trics are still crystal clear with no amber. Also, some plants/buds are green in color like MrPeaceman. I look at them with a 60X, lighted magnifier and they still look the same as they did a month ago, without a hint of any further maturity.
So i tried some, (as did a few other folks) & its good pot :flushed: Yep, i got me some pot!

So what the heck, where’s the color i so patiently waited for? They’ve been in the garage for 4 wks but i dont think they froze but they did come close several times so maybe that was enough to shock them?
They are still alive at the end but not growing or maturing

If anyone has an answer or idea, id like to hear it
Thanks growers for all your help & support!

The colors you are looking for come with the pheno. Heres an example. I have 2 Acid Sundaes that ive grown side by side. Ive dropped my temps dramatically looking for colors. I got colors in 1 but not the other… Congrats on your harvest!

Thanks, mine look more like your 2nd one
Pot be pot!

So how was it? Try any yet? I just put mine in a paper bag & put it on the radiator for a couple days to dry

Low and slow on the dry. Try to shoot for 7-10 days. This will help preserve the quality of the flowers.

Not quite resin colors but a good example of the same strain showing different phonos. Both were grown 100% the same.

Hi Hippie (couldn’t resist) :flushed:
I have the same issue. One plant has that dark, purpleish color & the other 3 are green.
Go figure!

The genetic makeup of a plant is what it ‘could’ potentially do. The phenos of the plant is what it actually dose due to the growing elements. Plants are a crazy crazy thing :man_farmer:

@DT I wouldn’t worry too much on the color of the Trichs…some plants take forever…and its more of a choice or preference than an absolute…Its kinda like a steal…well done,Medium or rare…Its still a steak… :joy:

"Im so in love… " with my plants :potted_plant:
Yeah Al, as said, i just gave up on the ‘color scheme’ but did sample a few buds with my buds & the consensus is, i gots me some pot :face_with_spiral_eyes: Its good too, so…
They’re drying now & soon they will be in jars, curing. Maybe then ill see the mythical color.
Best

Yeah Ive had the pheno thing in quite a few plants…I once had a Bruce Banner one was green and the other was so purple it was damn near black… A lot of times cold weather at night will turn plants of almost any strain into colorful wonders!!
