This is my first grow. Need some help regarding ann RQS Solomatic CBD auto that appears to be in final stages of flower. The photos below are the best I could come up with. I believe I see some clear trichomes along with some milky. Some stamen appear to be changing color. I’m in week 12 from seedling, RQS states Solomatic CBD 10-11 weeks to harvest. but this plant was stunted for about 2 weeks, then it took off like a rocket when transplanted onto a 7 gallon coco pot.
Two colas still have some minimal bare stem areas but the tops appear to be progressing into the Milky stage.
Also would anyone recommend flushing now. I’m hearing that 7-14 days of flush is the norm.
As info I’m top dressing with Dr. Earth amendments. I’m due for a top dress within the next two weeks but feel that I should not top dress this far into flower and impending flush.
Nice buds wow. It looks like you still have white hairs so when those all turn brownish and turn in toward bud start checking your Trichomes. When they are all cloudy under a microscope or jewelers loop your in the window of chop. I like mine to be 10-15% amber color. You have a couple weeks left and autos can take 10-14 weeks. I usually use only water the last week and flush. Good luck they sure look nice. Congratulations on your grow
Ok, so wait until the white stamen turn brown, check for higher percentage of milk white trichomes mixed with 10%-15% amber. Then begin flush.
I took some pictures with my digital microscope but can’t find my bloody iPhone dongle. I’ll post when it turns up and check with my loop in the interim.
Thanks brother. Good to know I have some time.
So one last question. Shall I begin flush then stamen turn brown and trichomes are milky? Or do I begin flush before that?
Dry in a separate 2x4x6. Cure in mason jars. I purchased a separate 2x4x6 tent, ACInfinity pro 69 controller will control temp with a small HVAC, maintain humidity with dehumidifier. I’ve never dried before but several sources recommend a slow dry. Cure for a minimum of 1 to 2 months in mason jars with hygrometers in each jar, burp as recommended. This is for the CBD grow. I have a kush in early stages of flower. Will try the same for it as well after I make all my mistakes with the CBD grow and cure.
Not sure my wife will like your 4 month cure practice. How much of an impact on the final product will there be with 4 month Vs 2 month cure?
Again, this is my first grow. I have zero experience drying and curing. Most of what I know is from YouTube, usually from Mr. Canuck’s channel.
I’m open to any suggestions.
Cheers!
This is the Kush Grow in the same tent as the auto. What a shit show. I thought the second plant was a photoperiod. I germinated an auto by mistake, thus the purchase of the second tent to dry the auto while the kush matures in the 4x4. This is getting expensive! And I don’t even smoke, LOL, It’s for my wife.
First dry Fall 2022 worked well
Again Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 (issues: late start, early harvest and weather).
Fall 2023 indoor aphid issues.
So What can I say. 2022 was given away or smoked No complaints.
I prefer single bud harvesting.
Outdoor weed needs wash, indoor will benefit.
RH Meters, for sure
A work in process and progress
I learned to harvest my seed and Kief.
So some smoke was less than best, I am sure.
Don’t need seeds, now.
Working on better flowers.
Wet trim and watch for mold.
Bag “sweating” utilized, too
Grain Alcohol-ed about 4 ounces of decarbed harvest (possession law compliance).
Takes a day to sober up or focus both eyes together, at the same time, from half a shot in my coffee.
Awesome. Beautiful, but young still.
Happy wife, Happy life, I was sold or told.
@Noob3 What a shit show
YUP. good for clones or reveging?
@Noob3 I think you still have a few weeks You want nearly all those white hairs to turn brown and recede back into the calyx’s then start checking trichomes for cloudy to amber. Do you have pictures of the whole plant and some bud pictures. When you check trichomes you want to check deep into the bud not the sugar leaves.
