Hey! I’m growing an Auto Jack still un vegetative. The main stem is huge and the plant looks awesome. I’m about to clone a lower branch or two. Are there any issues to check if cloning an auto, like the possility of producing a hermie…? Thanks!

The issue with cloning an auto is that at whatever stage of life your mother plant is in your clone will also be that age. So you would need to pull clones when an auto is pretty young so that the clone would have time to sufficiently vegetate before flowering.

If you get the clone young enough it should be fine I would think but most cloning attempts I’ve seen have been disappointing and maybe even lowered the yield of the mother.
