Class 2 (Red) Laser and mould

Has anyone out there have any experience using a Red Laser Beam to ZAP mould in buds ?
ie : Botrytis cinerea

Surface vs. internal infection it’s not gonna do anything. Red lasers are generally not antimicrobial. High-energy UV-C would be germicidal wavelengths. Still not gonna remove internal infections, and would only help prevent surface.

I feel you. I’m in tropical Florida. Do you have botrytis or simply trying to prevent?

Will any other color of light aid in mold prevention? Just wondering without thinking to much about it.

Like the ones i see on the hand dryers in public confort stations

Airflow and humidity management are your main preventatives.

I want prevent it as I have been losing far too much due to Botrytis, season after season and they are mainly the big fat juicy colas on top. :sob:

It’s used at room entry to sanitize the space, and it’s turned off when you enter. It’s damaging to people and plants with long exposure. It destroys the DNA in bacteria and fungi, but can cause people cancer, cataracts, etc.. We all know any UV rays are bad and to limit exposure.

Assuming prevention is what you’re after. Also that you have proper air movement, so spores don’t settle. Here’s some options to research.

• Environmental filtration of the lung room like hepa or high enough MERV rating to remove airborn contams

• Optional UV-C at entry described above

• Positive pressure of lung room to prevent airborn contams from entering

• Probiotics weekly to boost plants immunity. Most often used with chitin to illicit SAR response.

• Constant cleaning/disinfecting space. Never let plant litter stay on floor or pots as infection vectors

:pinched_fingers:t3: ProKure D - plant/people safe slow release chlorine dioxide gas packs. Time it to last 60 days (inside tent) of a flowering cycle for 100% prevention

• Grow tropical landrace strains
