Candyland manifold

Hey guys and gals, I am a newbie to alot of the grow as of now, growing 4 different strains from fem seeds (seedsman). Growing in 7 gal fabric pots with pro mix hp soil. 6 inch vent fan, 2 mars spl2000 lights, and 1 mars sp3000. 4x4x80 grow tent 6/2 light schedule, lights hung at 26 inches at 100 percent power, temp with lights on is 68-75, with 65% humidity, lights off temp is 60-65 with 65% humidity. Circulator fan blowing between canopy and lights, fox farms trio nutes with great white shark, and boomerang.

4 weeks from germination for all but my candyland which is 5 weeks
Having a few issues that I’m not sure how to fix. First of which is with my candyland plant. This is a pic of it before starting training for manifolding:
This is a recent picture about 4 days after the first topping:
I have watered it since taking the picture, but did not get any better. Hoping I didn’t top it too early. Last watering was yesterday, 48 oz of water with nutes(boomerang at 1 tsp/gal, big bloom at 6 tsp/gal, and great white shark at 1/2 tsp/gal.) Ppm was 681, ec was 1.3, ph was 6.4. I didnt water to runoff (first time using pro mix hp) trying to get water needs down.

Looks to be over watered well to frequent of waterings cannabis like wet dry cycles, promix HP is pure peat moss right?

Although they say that promix helps with over watering considering that it drains well doesn’t mean you can’t over water, they don’t look severe yet if corrected they will recoup just fine just watch those waterings those plants don’t have a full developed root system yet they can drowned

681 is a fairly heavy dose for the young ones.
I believe with a manifold plant you would like it be 5 or 6 nodes tall and top above the 3rd. It needs the age and roots for the abuse you are about to inflict.

Last watering was 48 oz of water, before that(3 days) i watered it with 36 oz. Moisture meter was a 2. Is that too much? Also, i gave it a while after the pot felt extremely light, and didn’t see it perk up or change, thats why I thought I might go the other way. This was the root structure before transplanting 8 days ago:

When I performed the first top, the top was the 5th node, I didnt go down to the 3rd node because it only had a shoot on one side of the stem, so I topped at the 4th node and removed the rest. Think its just in shock?

this is the current state of the plant.

Watering practice seems fine and may not be the issue I don’t measure water or anything like that I just do everything by feel that’s how I learned well except for nute mixes of course! Could very well be stressed a lot of things if she wasn’t completely settled into the new pot when you performed HST could be massive amount of stress… also though doesn’t happen often some phenos don’t take HST very well at all some of the more finicky ones freak out even undergoing LST

That is hard to say. I have not had a plant react like that when topped. However, I do not remove the lower branches at the same time. If this was the sequence then possibly it is shock and with having been transplanted recently it may be saying I need a rest.
I do not use coco so have nothing on watering practices or amounts needed I believe the rule is for it to be damp at all times and to not let it dry out completely. I expect you know this already. I would expect it to recover…

I have topped, and fimmed most of the plants I have tried growing, and they all reacted great. But this is my first time attempting a “manifold” so that may be the big difference. Also these lights are new, so I’m still trying to figure out the light distance and power. I just raised the lights about 3 inches and set them at 75% power to try lessening the stress with all three led lights on 100% its about 900w draw from the wall, and also pointed my circulation fan up a bit higher to lessen the direct wind on the plants. Last grow, I only used one of the tsl2000 grow lights in a 2x4 tent. Now I have 2 of the tsl2000 (300w actual power), and one sp3000 (300w actual power) in a 4x4 tent. Do you think that’s overkill?

Also, just checked my journal, and I transplanted from a 1 gal, to 7 gal fabric pot, and then topped it 2 days later…maybe too soon?

Didn’t know promix hp was coco? I was under the impression that it is all peat moss which i have never grown in… you are def right about coco tho haha if it drys out than it will tank your PH and plants freak out for sure… but that may be something to look into definitely need to know how cannabis likes the medium your growing in… could very well be stress and should perk back up in the next week

you are right. promix HP is peat and perlite. Not sure where coco came from. Probably a different post or the fact that I have some drying now and thinking of giving it a try for the first time.

Could be. You are also throwing a lot of light at young plants. It is good you dimmed a bit and increased height. That is the right move. You want the right intensity and height to promote good growth without a lot of stretch. I imagine the lights have recommended heights and intensity based on the plants age. Save the horses for when you need them during flower.

So far this morning, plants look like they perked up a bit. I also increased the humidity to 69% because the leaves felt dry and had the serrated edges curling under. (Usually means too much perspiration from the leaves?) We will see how they look tonight. Anyone else run a 6/2 light schedule? This a first as well, so far seems like all the plants are compact with very tight node spacing. Im not sure if that is relative to light schedule or not.

I decided to make a thread with my whole grow if you guys wanted to see what came of the plant and the others. 4 manifolds different strains.
