Hey Peeps
On my second grow under Mars Hydro fc3000 at 75% + ViparSpectra p2000 at 75% 4x4 room temps run 69 at night up to 76 day time with lights on RH around 50%
Using Pro mix HP
Anyone else have or had issuses with hp ?
Seems like i doing something wrong
Medium stays wet for a long time some plants seem to be 6 days and still wet
In a 5 gallon fabric pot i ph to 6.2 -6.5 use about 1/2 gallon of water and stays wet for what seems like forever
I used pro mix regular on first grow and 2-3 days it was dry
Pro Mix HP is supposed to high porosity in my brain says it should dry out faster
Found plant’s are slower and lethargic
One even grow only 5 inches in 56 days but nodes are like 1/2 apart leaves feel like plastic and bumpy
Any thoughts ?
Ideas ?
For sure going back to regular pro mix next run
Seeds are blue dream, green crack, and chemdog auto
Only reason the chemdog is there is lights on 18/6 for veg time so i wanted to utilize the light and room till the other girls get big
Cheers
And thanks for any input
Plastic pots.?,air circulation ?,rh?
Fabric pots
lots of air flow
rh 50%
4 inch inline intake 4 inch out take plus oscillating fans moving air nice
How big are these plants ? Post some pictures
Small plants in big pots are gonna stay wet longer. I’d definitely only water when those pots are nice and light, this sounds like it could be an overwatering issue.
I grow in a small closet but with fabric pots I keep a fan right on the pots for root zone air and seems to help
But they are photos and bottom right is pink berry
No problems in that room with regular pro mix
I would try to get the temps above 80°F.
I only use ProMix HP. Smaller plants in veg will hold moisture longer. I use 5 gallon fabric pots. When in veg, I don’t water to run off. When they are in flower my pots have to watered every other day. I’ve never had a problem with ProMix HP. But like I mentioned, a smaller plant in veg in a large pot will take a long time to dry out. Water accordingly
Thank you all for the answers and tips still a noob to this learning as i go from a lot of great growers here
Maybe add additional perlite as well?
Promix is meant to be wet! It should not be treated like soil.
