Can you store a clone from a previous grow in something to use later

Just wondering if you can store a clone in something in plant at a later time.

They are basically grow or die. Something I have done to keep them small before is put them in a smaller pot so they become root-bound, which inhibits growth.

Ok. Thank you

I store clones to use later. I take cuttings and put them into a gallon size ziploc bag, blow up the bag with my breath then place the bag in my refrigerator. When I want to root the clones, I take them out of the fridge, and allow to come to room temp, then cut the bottoms again and set them up with my aero-bucket cloner. Replace bag-breath every few days. Keeps for a few weeks before they go downhill fast.

do you get them wet or put water in the bag?

No water or wetness, I experimented for years on how to keep them longer, with water, without water, with air. with breath (co2), many ways. The ones with water always rotted. So, cut and quickly put in bags, blow them up like a balloon, then into the fridge. I’ve had good success up to 3 weeks, 4 weeks starts getting iffy.
