I’m planning to do my first grow growing 3 gorilla cookies autos and 2 gelato autos with the median being coco perlite 70/30 what’s everything I should get for this grow
It’s going to take a lot of light to flower 5 plants if growing indoors. You are going to need 800 to 1,000 watts of quality light to flower them properly. What do you have planed for lighting?
You’ll need good pots (fabric bags are great,) a good nutrient product (Jacks 321 is great,) a grow space (grow tents are great,) ventilation matched to your grow space, pH and PPM meters, and a few other things that aren’t coming to mind at the moment.
The Grow Bible is a good place to start.
I’m using the Mars Hydro TSW 2000 LED +
That may be enough light for 1 plant. 300w
It’s a 300 watt light that will flower 1 plant great. You can probably get away with 2 plants, but you will have spindly plants with loose buds if growing 2 under it.
I believe this is a square 300 watt fixture. Good to flower a 3x3 area. 4 small autos might work. However depending on the plants 1-2 autos could fill this space.
I wouldn’t do more that 3 plants as @Low suggested a 3x3 would be good a newbie mistake is trying to grow to many plants
I have a 4x4
What is a cheap light what could fit in a 4x4 what can grow 5 plants
Did you just buy the tsw 2000 and is it returnable?
Big spaces generally require big bucks.
Anywho some “budget” options. In general I recommend getting a light a little larger than your space to get better coverage. 4x4’s… the light should be able flower a 4x4 and veg a 5x5.
If you use Facebook you can almost always find used fixtures on the marketplace for a fraction of the cost, but it’s a risk because you have no idea what the light has gone through.
You could buy a second TS2000 they are daisy chain able which means you can hook them together and adjust them both with one dimmer.
It’s a decent fixture as is but even with 2 there would be drop off on the front/back or left/right depending how they’d hang. And 2 of them are passed the $500 mark.
I think returning and opting for a bar style light would be a good investment. If possible.
About that viparspectra up there, I have no idea if the claims of the diodes are true or not. Just an example of lighting.
OP should research everything independently to find appropriate lighting for needs/expectations.
It looks like the bar style lights are the way of the future my next light will be a bar style
I 100% agree with you!
Greetings…
Just to add my .02…
I purchased the MH FC-E6500 a couple months ago and all I can say is Holy S#@T Batman…
The adjustable bars and a Dr Lux meter allows me to have my PPFD almost the same on the edges as the center.
AND as an added bonus I got .73 grams per watt (17z from 3 ILGM White Rhino) I have never gotten over about 1/2 gram per watt.
Just an amazing light
