CalMag Deficiency? What else?

Hey all! I think I have either a cal mag deficiency or a surplus of calmag. What do you guys see?

That looks like a ph problem to me, not calmag deficiency. Do a run off test and see what your numbers are or a slurry test. That’s def a ph problem , I had the same thing when I grew hydro .

Ph was in range.

Ok well cross that off then.

What are you feeding and how much? How often?

Jacks 3-2-1, usually every day or every other day. I’m in coco/perlite, yes it’s buffered.

I don’t think there’s anything to worry about as of yet. I use jacks 321 with coco as well sometimes I have some calmag deficiency. You could hold off the epson salt and give her some cal mag the next feeding but I would just watch it and see if it gets worse cause right now I don’t see any reason to worry too much. Carry on! Good looking training btw!

Thank you! I do have one more additional question. I have these on my pots and I’m not sure if it’s beneficial or if it’s mold?

Nothing to worry about , it’s the jacks.

Oh there’s regular runoff and then there’s the white fuzzy spots, that’s the jacks?

I have the same thing , very normal with the grow bags. I just switched to air pruning pots for this reason and they work great.

Looks like the start of a magnesium deficiency. Are you feeding jacks full strength with epson salts? If so bump the epson up to 1.5 grams per gallon. What’s your input and run off PH :love_you_gesture:

Feeding full strengths jack, I’ve been adding extra calimagic ~ 2ml per gal. I just fed today at around 5.9-6.0, runoff was 6.0 for both

Great run off PH. I’m not familiar with the calimagic, does it contain magnesium? When I use a calmag combo I usually dose at 2-4ml per gallon but don’t need this with Jacks 321 :love_you_gesture:

Yeah it has calcium + magnesium, well actually sorry, I’m just using gh calmag at the moment.
