Buyer Beware - A New Level of Dishonesty From Some LED Sellers

KingLED claims in the title of an Amazon listing that this light is built with LM301 diodes. As per King’s own website, the 2023 KingLED 1500 is built with Epistar “burple” LEDs. The appearance of the light is consistent with this. A 1500 watt light built with LM301 diodes should actually cost ~$1,500. This model is sold for $96.

We often tell growers that they should look for LM301 diodes. Keep this new level of dishonesty in mind when making recommendations.

Look for 3rd party testing results from reliable sources.

Just seems to be no accountability for misrepresenting products.

I reported the ad to Amazon for false advertising, but I doubt they will do anything.

That is enough to keep me from buying anything they sell…ever.

“Amazon ethics” and “Ebay ethics” are two of my favorite oxymorons.
