Burnt leaves in my grow tent

Im about 6 weeks in and didnt realize how fast is was growing in my tent and I’m assuming it got too close to the grow light. Besides the obvious of moving the light up, which I did, should I cut the leaves off, or water more or could it be too much fertilizer ?

Can’t offer much without knowing pH and PPM. Do you have a pH/PPM meter?

It appears to be excess nitrogen at a minimum.

Dont k now
-Distance of liquid below net pot (DWC) dont know
-Temperature of reservoir ambient
-TDS of nutrient solution unsure but am using seedling solution from ilgm
-Amount of air to solution not sure

The soil ph is between 6.5 and 7.

Is that the runoff pH?

If so, your pH is okay. The target is 6.3 to 6.8.

I expect your PPM is too high.

my thoughts too. Less N and more P & K. But without knowing the runoff numbers, just a crap shoot.

What nutrient brand are you using Growmie. I suspect you have a salt accumulation in the root zone?? Have you been feeding to liberal run off? Run off PH and PPMs would be helpful :love_you_gesture:

Appears to be ILGM nutes.

Stage 1 seedling booster. I have a habit of over feeding. Maybe just plain water for awhile ?

Nutrients should be managed via measuring PPM. Suggest getting a PPM meter and maintaining runoff PPM at ~1,000.

Got ya. Ive just been putting what the directions say per week but thats pretty generic.

I expect so as well. You need to be careful with this, as it will also submarine your runoff pH.

Given the state of your plant I expect that your actual runoff pH is low. What are you using for a pH meter?

I have a generic instant read and rapidtest with the capsules of powder you mix the soil with.

Suggest upping your game, as what you are using is not reliable. I’d suggest getting an Apera PC60, which measures both pH and PPM. There are other options. Both Bluelab and Apera make great meters.

I’m convinced that your runoff pH is very low given the state of the plant. It is very common with plants that appear as yours does. Your plant is experiencing nitrogen toxicity as well. N toxicity is frequently accompanied by a low pH.

If it were my plant I would flush down to a PPM of 300 and then resume feeding, give it a week to burn off excess nitrogen, and then maintain a runoff PPM of ~1,000.
