I’m putting together a new set up. I have a 5x5 Gorilla tent with 2 ft extension. For lighting, its a 8000w mars hydro LED. 6 inch inline fan with scrubber. Doing GrowAce air cubes., Titan CO2 regulator and controller. I will be rotating out 25 lb tanks during the grow. I will have 4 plants total. It will be in a garage. I plan on having a lung room. Ive never done a lung room so this will be new to me. What materials should I make it out of? I was going to do plastic, but saw some people used foam insulation. Wondering what you guys are doing and how much extra space should I expand over the tent itelf. I was thinking just big enough to fit a reservoir and CO2 tanks. Im not sure how hot it will get with the LED. Was considering picking up a portable A/C as well. Any tips or advice are appreciated, thanks!
CO2 use demands a lot of light (among other things most new growers will struggle with like high nute levels, the ability to push oxygen to the roots) and a closed environment rather than air from a lung room.
Can you please tell us more about your light (model number)? 8000 watt lights don’t exist.
Welcome to the forum.
Probably an FC-8000 which is an 800w light and that will give 32w/sqft
Its a good light. I have the FC-3000 and its doing fine.
Welcome to the forum @Iliketents . Much info up here and a great community. Have fun browsing the threads. MOST of your questions can be answered to begin with by searching up here. Not many issues have not been covered. Questions are totally accepted but can save yourself a little time with judicious search habits for answers already on the forum. Just a little advice for when answers needed immediatly. As mentioned above Co2 really needs a sealed environment and an overabundance of extremely strong lighting. Happy growing my friend.
It’s a good level for 4 plants with ambient CO2 levels. You need 1,300+ PPFD at the canopy for a plant to use extra CO2. It’s essentially double the wattage of the current light.
Yes, the FC 8000 Samsung smart light with the ur45 uv/ir light. . According to their website it was the one needed for the space I have, using co2. I might be using lung room term incorrectly. But it was how others were using it. Essentially, I am going to build a sealed room around the tent. I plan on it giving me enough room for all the equipment listed that isn’t needed inside the tent. The tent will circulate air from within this sealed area. I’m admittedly a novice with only 4 grows under my belt, years ago. But that was DWC with 2 plants and not led lights. Due to my climate I will get one grow in this year. I want to make this one count! I bought co2 equipment now because my income fluctuates and I had the cash, I might not later. Simce I have the equipment I plan on using it the first grow in the new set up.
