I’m using captain jack dead bug, neem oil and bts. The bugs are gone for a few days after spraying then they come back. I spray every Thursday.
Pest control is more of a regular maintenance thing, not a one shot and done. Residuals wash away or just lose effectiveness after sitting on the plant for a couple of days.
You can use Captain Jack’s right through to harvest.
Do not use Neem when flowering starts. It is absorbed into the flowers, and does not wash away. This can result in a harsh smoke because, well, there’s Neem oil in the bud.
Hey @Hybridbjj plants looking healthy but once a week isn’t enough with an active infestation. The eggs are everywhere and will just keep on hatch and laying every couple days.
Here’s the plan I followed.
1 Fill the top of your pots with and inorganic substance like play sand. Bugs need the organic material in your pots to thrive.
Play Sand 50 Pounds Natural – Filtered, Screened, Washed and Dried Soft Sand – Great for Sand Table, Sand Box, Play Areas, Arts and Crafts, Home Decorating – Beautiful Crème Color

2 Use some Beneficial microbes each watering. This will provide a health root zone and establish Good microbes to keep the bad ones away.

3 Clean your entire grow area, inside and out. The eggs can be anywhere.
4 Spray your plants, soil, pots, tent, outside tent and everywhere with some Captain Jacks neem oil. @Borderryan22 is right on with not spraying after flower. You could wash your buds if your still having bugs during flower.

5 Purchase a small 25sq.ft. Bug Zapper inside your tent. Once you stop hearing the pops for three days you should be free of bugs.

BTW. Do not bring outside plants/soil inside your grow area.
I went to hydroponics and eliminated a lot of my problems. I’ve keep Capt Jacks and a bug zapper still go up each time I grow. One good thing about the zapper is it provides some extra UVA for your plants.
Re-apply every five days as that is the normal cycle for mites. Alternate between C.J.'s and “Safer Caterpillar Killer”. If infestation is bad, spraying down the whole plant with a dilute mix of peroxide/water will nuke them but leaves will show damage along the edges. No Neem oil IMO ever.
Adding beneficial microbes can’t hurt and would suggest starting to use silica as it will strengthen the plant and help prevent pests getting under the stem.
Peroxide on the fabric pot, tent walls and any other structures in the grow space. Re-apply weekly.
@Hybridbjj I’ve been using Growers Ally Crop Defender 3. It’s a miticide, insecticide and fungicide. They just released this product but works great. It’s organic and cam be used all the way up to the day of harvest. For preventative, mix 10ml/gallon every 7 days. For infections, mix 40lm/gallon every 3-4 days. When you spray, depending on location of your plants, make sure fans and lights are off when you spray.
