As I wrote in the topic, I just discovered bud rot in my Kush. Sad really since she is a pretty big and (was) and impressive plant.
I enclose a couple of pics, the brownish ones are from the area with the rot and the green ones are from fresher parts.
What should I do? Just cut away the buds with rot and let the rest live on for a couple of weeks?
Typically you just cut away the bud rot if possible and let the rest of the plant go to harvest. It would be helpful if you could provide pics of the whole bud. It sucks happens to us all heck 4 runs ago I lost a quarter of my harvest to it…
Zoom out a little bit and give us some pictures of a single bud, and the whole plant
I would look through buds real good and remove all the ones with rot and let the rest go longer if its not ready. Just went through this myself. It kinda sucks.
Good luck.
If it’s isolated to a single branch or two, you can remove them and continue forward. Keep in mind the spores are everywhere and the mold can still pop up at any moment so I’d definitely recommend a bud wash before consuming just as a health measure.
Some zoomed out pics would definitely help us out!
Thanks for the tips. I’ve cut away the rot (might be some left, I tried to be conservative when cutting). I’d like to share a few pics of the beautiful plant.
Enjoy!

Amazing colors you have going on. Looks like fall somewhere.
Absolutely beautiful
Congratulations for posting some really awesome pictures of your growers.
Outdoor plants? I would recommend a full wash at harvest.
Hope the hang and cure goes well, too.
Keep me posted when and how it smokes, thanks.

Don’t you just hate when people post suggestions that involves a lot of extra work that you just do not want to do? And when you immediately realize that they are right… Like, of course I should do a bud wash even though I tried to deny it in my head.
Thanks DeepriverDave - you’re right of course. I just did a quick check in my basement and I even have the Hydrogen Peroxide so no excuse there either… Will cut tomorrow, wash and hang to dry off the water with a fan for half a day or so.
