Bruce Banner Lookin Sad

This is my first indoor grow. My lights are LED 140 each. 2 plants under each. I have humidity levels steady at 89% and temps are steady at 78°F. Im on a schedule of watering once a week unless especially dry and then I add maybe a cup of distilled water. During reg water times Im using Bergmans. Started with see seedling boost for 2 weeks. Now Im on growtime. I have given 1 at 1/4 gallon of water each plant. Im growing in organic soil and vermiculite.

Problem: one of my plants (Bruce Banner) the young leaves have a yellowing color. The older leaves have a lighter green outline with subtle dotting of lighter on darker ribs. A couple of the leaves a drooping. All other plants seem to be fine.

I did some reading and the closest troubleshoot I could find was possibly iron deficiency or maybe overwatering. I checked Ph and it was 6.5.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I don’t want to treat without a going consensus of what it might be. TIA

@Teddy6139, I think your problem may stem from the high humidity. This will cause it to take more water in through its leaves, meaning less from the root zone, and therefore it’s not pulling up nutrients at the rate it that it should, even though they’re present in the soil.

I would adjust that down to mid 60’s, or lower, and then see how it looks in a couple days.

That makes complete sense! Lol Im going to adjust it right now! Lol. Not to mention the humidity was also making the walls and towels wet. I just thought that was something I was going to have to deal with. Thanks so much. I appreciate you!

Yes. The fix totally took care of it. The white powder is diatomaceous earth. I saw a gnat flying around. They’re gone as well. I caught it before infestation.

Can someone tell me what this red stem indicates? Using Bergmans Vege cycle. On my last of 4 wk sched. I see 2 or 3 of them. Mostly on Banner but I see a tinge on Girl Scout Cookie. All autos. All indoors.

TIA

Normal for the red stem but your plant is way stretched. Tie the tops as low as you can and lower the light to 14” above the top.

I’m no expert, but I think your plants are starving for light, especially based on the distance between nodes.

I made the same mistake with my very first four plants and they looked just like this, and I was running 2x cheap Amazon 220W LEDs.

However, my story did have a happy ending. I decided to chop the plants up for clones and toss the mothers since they looked horrible. Now those clones have more branches than I can count. Deciding to take the step back and start over with clones was the decision I could have made.

Idk if you’re running autos or fems, but I’d consider taking some clones from these super stretched mothers. Might set you back a bit, but it’ll give you time for better lighting and a stronger plant than a seed grown plant in my opinion.

:sob::sob: it will break my heart but Ill do it. They are autos. I knew thats what they were doing (stretching) I bought new lights. They came in yesterday. Ill get them up today. I guess Ill use the xtra long one for clones. They’ve already started budding. Ugh. Thanks for your reply.

I don’t really know what “tie the tops” mean. Are you saying to pull the top of the plant down as far as it will go without breaking and then actually tie it there?? Sorry, Im a novice at indoor growing. :grimacing:

And should I do all of them that way?
