Bruce Banner Autoflower Progress New to boards and looking for opinions and advice

Cup, cup and a half, maybe. 4 cups equals a quart. They are still to little for a full pot watering. Wanna keep it moist but not compacted during this time so the roots have easy growing. 5 gallon fabrics yeah? 1/2 gallon is max I think. Don’t quote me on that.

Sweet, thanks! I bought a cheap pH/moisture/light probe. What I found was the top 3-4” was moist and as I pushed the probe down, it read Damp. Sooo… It seems water is just collecting at the bottom of the pot and not evaporating nor seeping out of the bottom. Good and bad. Good in that the roots will have to search out the water. Bad in that I cringe at the thought of mold and fungus due to excess.

So I am curious about the algorithm of the posts on here. It seems no one else is contributing nor interested in my post. I haven’t seen anything like it before and just find it odd. It seems everyone on here is friendly and helpful, yet when it comes to my posts… :cricket: :cricket: :cricket: Just curious, what gives?

Not so much any kind of systematic logic, more a matter of who’s online and looking when. From what I see in your thread you’re doing a nice job. Just set to watching and I’ll follow along. If you have any specific questions you think someone can answer based on posts you’ve seen from them, feel free to tag them using the @ sign and their username. Like @CygnusX1 . Everyone is very friendly around here and willing to help out.

Feel free to follow others threads / journals and interact as well. As you meet and talk to people you’ll start building your own little community in here as well.

I’m pretty new myself with only one grow under my belt and presently into my second but feel free to tag, if I can’t help I’ll try to bring someone in who can.

If while reading you see someone who’s opinion you want, tag them. With your question to your thread. In example. @VAVA how much light is too much? My faveorite person to tag is @Covertgrower he has always answered my question within 24 hrs. If you have a question about auto pot systems @Nicky is the go to. Trying to figure out if the new light you are looking at is appropriate for your desired #’ of plants or space @dbrn32 is often considered a guru in that department. I hear @Hellraiser is a clone master. @MrPeat uses Fox Farms entire nute line so if is a FF question, that’s where I go. @PurpNGold74 is very very well versed. There is @Dr.ofSmokology who built his grow room inside his home, so if it’s a space vs a tent. He would be a good person to ask. @Budz is quite knowledgeable about soil and just about everything else involved with cannabis growing. That otta bring some attn to your Thread.

Fim at 4th/5th.

What light do you have?

Feel free to tag me, if I can’t answer it I’ll find.
I mostly grow autos but after being in the forums for a couple years we tend to see most of the same questions and issues over.
Lots of knowledge on here by lots of members

So you would recommend FIMing a BB?

So currently I have a Maxsisun MF2000. It’s doing a great job so far and I’ve heard great things from those who have them. Just a small foot print in hindsight. Ultimately I hope to get a new light for flowering and maybe just use this one for vegging. Any advice on a good light for a 2x4 closet? I am growing in my house now while I build the 2x4 closet in my garage. I prefer something more stealth and lockable. Anyway, looking forward to getting them in their permeant spot soon!

Thanks so much guys! Yeah, I wasn’t implying that my post were being ignored, just was wondering how this place works, how to get more post engagement and get to know more people. This helps immensely!!! Thanks for the pointers!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Speaking of the grow closet. Here’s a picture of it in construction. I didn’t want anything too big as space is limited. Just a simple 2x4.

So probably best light you can get for a 2x4 right now would be the hlg 260 or 320 r spec. A little pricey, but arguably some of the best lights on the market. I bought the hlg 260 at the beginning of flower for my first grow. It packs a punch!

@JWhistler @VAVA yeah HLG is on my shopping list too. If you can handle putting together the boards yourself, the “kits” are on a minor sale and there’s a coupon code (DIY10) to save a little extra on the kits. I’m gonna be using 2 260XLs in a 4x4 space for between 3 and 6 plants, depending on how many survive. I’m toying with hydro and soil - it’s sort of hard for my brain to handle two mediums at once (gifted the soil plant) so I’m suspecting I’m going to lose a few along the way.

HLG is a top choice on this forum but I recommend against it due to high cost. And kingbrites are as good or better.

Kingbrite is my recommendation, order it directly from China through Alibaba and I would get a 320w with reds (R).

I would fim the bb yes.
These were my BB I Fim’d, I just harvested them a week ago.

Looks very intriguing! Thanks so much! How long did it take for you to get?

Yeah, I’m going to just jump in and do it. It’s time to stop being scared! So did you water after FIMming? I’ve heard this helps with stress and gives it a bit of a boast to help with the shock.

My plants are always getting water, they are in autopots.

Um I think my light took 3 weeks but man with covid you never know these days
If you want a light just order it asap and kingbrites are a wicked option I have 50% of my lights hlg and 50% kingbrites but Ill only buy kingbrites from now on.
