Hey guys im new to growing Cannabis, and I mite be over thinking this like all newbies.
The seedlings are 7 days old or technically 11 days old from soaking in PH filtered water to now. They are white widow auto flower. I’ve only feed them PH water between 6.2 and 6.5.
Im using a grow tent. With temperatures between 75 and 85 degrees. Humidity between 50 and 70%.
The soil I use is Black Gold. image below. Im growing with an LED VIPARSPECTRA 2000.
The light is 30 inch from the plant.
So that’s pretty much all the information about my grow.
My question is are these seedling ok? I notice some discoloration in the leaves. Is it a calcium deficiency. And if so what can I do to fix it.
( I also have a few other Cannabis plants in the tent. Same stain , same age , same everything and they look perfect ).
any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance .

First plant looks like the chlorophyll hasn’t filled in yet. The others look like genetic variegation which isn’t harmful. Most grow out of it, some have it their whole life cycle. At this stage, water a ring further away from the plant to avoid damping off. So far they’re looking good.

For now they look ok maybe overwater due to the large pot small plant just keep a clear cup on them , don’t water for a while just mist the soil around the actual plant

So far my water schedule has been. 2 cups of ph water every 3 days.
I’m scheduled to start nutrients on day 10.
I’m currently on day 8 and I watered on day 7.
Nuts I’m planing on using (1mil of micro , 1mil of grow, .5mil of bloom) I have cal mag but I read don’t use it in soil.

Small plant like that don’t drink that much water , calmag is used In soil

You’re not going to want to start nutrients any time soon. Unfortunately your soil has time release nutrients. Meaning it’s going to release nutrients every time you water. Adding nutrients will burn them.

Thanks man. Will continue to water with PH water and keep you guys updated every other week or so. Which day do you recommend I start using Nuts ?

That is the question. Time release nutes make it difficult to determine. It will likely be several weeks. Once they’re big enough to water to runoff, you can monitor runoff ppms. Once the ppm starts to continually drop and start dipping below 1000 ppm, you should be safe to add nutrients.

The problem with those “release fertilizers” is that every time one waters, nutes are released. It can take weeks and weeks of watering before the ppms drop low enough to add anything else.
Those soils are also not typically balanced for cannabis and can be too nutrient rich for tender seedlings. I typically recommend people steer clear of that type of soil.
That being said, one can grow cannabis in them. My first few grows were in miracle grow soil.

@Chip303 @BobbyDigital I know it’s a sin but I have used MG this grow and last to personal grade success. Won’t be using it in future but for chips sake on his/her grow I don’t feed any nutrient at least until flowering starts then all I’ve added was bloom booster terra flores from the canna line. Flushing is pointless as stated on prior posts its a time release feed and feeds each time. Just keep pushing forward we will all get this growing thing down to perfection with all the help on this forum. Awesome bunch of people.

Definitely not a sin using MG but once you run into trouble, things can go very badly very quickly and there’s not a whole lot you can do about it.
