Brown spots along leaf edges?

So I have started to get lil brown spots popping up on my plant . Don’t really know if it’s calcium deficiency or some kind of fungus disease or possibly neither of the two , but that’s why I’m here . Really like a lil guidance on this , don’t wanna lose her if possible.
( Granddaddy purple )Sprouted the 18th of October , so as of today she is 56 days old . Thanks
3x3x6 tent

Humidifier ( 55%)
Temperature ( low 64 high 78 )
Fish shit
FFOF soil
Fox Farms trio nutrients
Water ph 6.3-6.7
Cal-mag 1 teaspoon ( when needed )
Runoff is mid 6s

Everything looks fine as far as numbers. Do you know your ppm’s in and out? She looks a little hungry and like she could use an extra dose of calmag.

Calcium probably. Dont usually call in the cal/mag but this looks like 1 of its turns. The plants look solid and far into flower. A maintain over a radical fix will probably finish them out. Good color. Solid stacking. Can see some fade along edges from mag being low. Gonna suck the soil dry of it now. Easy possible fix with no harm/no foul ammending. Give it a few days to show then if no fix go deeper. Ph her well right now.

Ive got to agree with both suggestions above. Hungry, calmag, and keeping pH dialed in 6.8. FFOF is documented for needing calmag and many advise to add 1tsp per gallon every feeding. I think the recommended feeding chart even suggest it. Check your runoff numbers and maintain ~1000 ppms. 1/2 dose what the recommended chart shows and ride her out till she’s done. :v:

Thanks for the knowledge, I’m gonna put it to use later tonight , I had been giving a tsp of cal-mag every gallon watering . But may have missed 1 here and there . Will definitely bump up the strength and nutrients just a bit and with the ppms that’s something I don’t have a clue about really

PPM is Parts Per Million. Basically how strong your nutrient solution is. It’s measured with a TDS meter (Total Dissolved Solids). Your pH runoff and look of the plant says you’re in decent range with ppm’s, but it is always good to have a meter handy. They’re really cheap on Amazon.

My plant was like this. Same issue. My runoff a bit low ph ~6.3pH

Issue is salt buildup causing lockout (due to wrong irrerigate schedule) I flushed a bit and given light fert then gradually increase dosage.

Can I trim back some of the foliage or don’t do that at this stage of growth

Let her ride. You’ve got good light coverage. Maybe any that really long fans that look close to toasted. But I’m not really seeing any.

Welcome to the community.

Generally at this stage they are in demand of some essentials

It doesn’t necessarily mean you are deficient, it could mean your pH at the root zone isn’t in a good enough range to where they are getting enough of what they need. An appropriate pH allows the plant to consume nutrients easier.

@kardel do you have a journal? This may be effecting you. PH range.

Calcium Deficiency

A calcium deficiency in cannabis causes brown spots on the leaves

by Nebula Haze & Sirius Fourside

Problem: Calcium is an important nutrient that helps provide structure to the cannabis plant and helps it withstand stress like heat. When your cannabis plant has a calcium deficiency, the main symptom that you’ll be able to notice is brown or bronze splotches or spots on your leaves. It is also often associated with yellowing (though leaves don’t always turn yellow). Occasionally the splotches may appear purple especially under LEDs. Calcium deficiencies are often caused from low pH at the roots, but also occasionally from growing in soft/filtered water.

Cannabis calcium deficiency - leaf closeup

Calcium deficiencies are often associated with yellowing in addition to the brown spots, (though not always!). This is an example of the beginning of a calcium deficiency that has yellowing in addition to the brown spots.

Calcium deficiencies are common when growing in coco or using soft or filtered water, but the most common reason to see a calcium deficiency is low pH at the roots

Here’s another example of a calcium deficiency caused by low pH. Symptoms are typically worse on the leaves at the top of the plant and close to the light.

Potassium Deficiency

A potassium deficiency in cannabis causes burnt leaf tips and edges, as well as yellowing between the margins

by Nebula Haze

What Does a Cannabis Potassium Deficiency Look Like?

Leaf Problem / Symptoms: With a marijuana potassium deficiency, you’ll generally see symptoms on older leaves, but not always. Sometimes you’ll see the symptoms at the top of the plant. Leaves with a potassium deficiency get yellow, brown, or burnt edges and tips. The burnt edges may look a little like nutrient burn, except the affected leaves also start turning yellow in the margins.

Example of a marijuana potassium deficiency with common leaf symptoms

Yellow leaves with brown edges and tips are the signs of a weed potassium deficiency

You may see the brown burnt edges first, or you may see the yellowing first. When the leaf symptoms are both present, it’s a good sign you have a potassium deficiency in your leaves.

Plants may stretch and stems may become weak, but leaf symptoms are more noticeable. The leaf symptoms appear somewhat similar to an iron deficiency in that they can turn bright yellow, but the tips of the leaves curl as the edges turn brown, burn and die.

The yellow and brown leaves are showing the signs of a marijuana potassium deficiency

Cannabis potassium deficiencies can cause your cannabis leaves to turn white, yellow, brown or burnt looking, but the inside veins almost always stay green. Sometimes a Potassium deficiency is made worse by overwatering, as was the case with this plant.

This cannabis plant has a potassium deficiency with yellow, almost bleached looking leaves. Overwatering may have contributed to these leaf symptoms.

Sometimes you’ll get something that looks a lot like tip burn with a potassium deficiency, but it goes in further than nutrient burn, and with a potassium deficiency you also see yellowing between the leaf margins

The brown edges and tips of these leaves, along with the yellow margins are signs of a cannabis potassium deficiency

Sometimes the burn can appear pale, bleached or yellow, instead of brown. If you look in the background of this pic, you can see some of the leaves have turned brown in addition to the bright yellow leaf in the front. These are all signs of a marijuana potassium deficiency.

@SmileyBigs0 im not sure with defoliation. Im still beginner and my hand pick them off everyday or so. And my environment is easy for mold to grow so I cut as much. Need to upgrade ventilation system

@Low i dont updating on that but pretty sure it came from buildup , my watering training wasnt correct with amount of water and fed everytimes after2week of veg(she autoflower and plant in final pot).

Alright guys so I’m back with a lil update with on my plant . So I done a complete flush and added more nutrients to my brew since the last pics I had posted. My dumb a*** didn’t realize it but I had already got a ppm meter . So with that being said , my ppm has been around 1150 1200 on feeding . Have added an extra tsp of cal mag , the run off is between 6.4 to 6.8 . Temps are good as humidity! At this point idk if it’s going to get any better , still have weeks to go !!! What should I do !
