@Covertgrower @CoyoteCody @kellydans Probably gonna be gone for awhile. Broke a main branch today and don’t know if it will survive. I sprayed hydrogen peroxide on the wound, taped it up with painters tape (all I had available), and wrapped some rubber coated wire around it to steady it. It almost came all the way off and it’s a main branch, so any thoughts on survival rate?
As long as it’s attached still in some way, it’ll make it.
It wasn’t broken completely off?

I did what I could It was my one plant COVID buddy and I spent some money I wouldn’t have normally spent on one plant (Nature’s Living Soil, HLG light, many nutes, a new worm bin, etc.). But the real price I paid was in devoting that much psychic energy to one situation that ends up in pieces ultimately. Please send your healing vibes, guys and gals. My little friend appreciates you
@CoyoteCody Is there a word that literally means “a few mosquito nut widths from COMPLETELY”?
I usually wrap in masking tape and make masking tape supports and as long as they’re lined up pretty close to the way they were the plant repairs itself quickly.
I have had them holding on by just the skin and they grew back partially, there was a slight split left but it formed a nice knuckle and all I did was stake it to help support it. I would definitely watch it but don’t play with it and see when that wire gets tight so you can loosen it, I would say in a couple weeks or so.
The only reason I believe this was because of this…
I know… I’m a graceful SOB when I get around this plant. It is MUCH heavier than she looks. Full 10-gallon and she is pretty dense even though she doesn’t really look it. I believe the stem healed fine although I’m not gonna chance removing the wrapping. I figure she would be dropping leaves or getting sad by now.
That last one is way cool
You’ll be just fine ! I had the same thing happen on my first grow and tapped her up with electrical tape and the started healing herself immediately and ended up being the biggest and strongest branh when all was said and done.
@CoyoteCody I know right? I thought it looked kinda like a sculpture
@Newbie2020 thanks for the vibes
@CoyoteCody Shitty thing about this time is that I was days from starting to go 12/12. Not gonna be anytime soon now. I guess the benefits are that the GA days will be much more in line with the correct temps for flowering and I’ll have the HLG 135 Rspec plus my old lights, which will be side/fill lighting. Also, pests will be WAY down, stress to hermie will be low, and she’ll get a little longer to veg and grow thicker stems for denser buds, roots will be DEEP into the Nature’s Living Soil, and the worms in the pot are multiplying like Chinese schoolkids (FAST). I felt a little death when this happened today. Can’t remember what the term is… “le (or la) petite morts”, meaning “little deaths” in French. Later applied to an orgasm, it strangely enough originally meant “the brief loss or weakening of consciousness”, which I definitely felt the second I picked her up and noticed the wire was still tied to the plant to pull the branches down for a couple days and get some light in the center of the canopy. I just hope she heals up and big thanks to y’all for sending positive vibes!
