Anyone have experience with the 16 inch bowl trimmer (hand crank)
Thinking of investing
I use a hand crank trimmer and it makes short work of final trim.
Mine is not technically a bowl trimmer but works the same way.
The key to success is to crank slowly.
Hand trimming takes me way to long, iam little nervous , i don’t want to lose to much
Many of our fellow growers use them with success. Some “wet” trim and others “dry” trim.
I prefer doing it after drying.
I just bought one for this harvest as my last Summers harvest put me in Trim Jail for weeks. I opened it up just to make sure everything was there and it worked, but haven’t used it yet. I have a feeling it’s going to get a workout come October…
It has been highly (pun intended) recommended by others that I trust on here and elsewhere. Wasn’t that expensive and if it can save me some time…well worth it. Also, I’m a wet trim guy. Bowl came with 2 blades for both wet and dry style trimming. Best of luck.
Mine is like this one but a different brand name. Mine does not have the side opening.
There are many less expensive options. They all work about the same.
Such as this one:
Thank you everyone , im going to pull the trigger
You’ll only lose any of your trim byproducts (diced sugar leaves, loose trichomes, bits of bud) if you treat it as waste. It ain’t. For example:
You’ll be glad you did! I run a 19 inch and trim lbs in minutes after drying. With the DryDoc machine, I dry without trimming then run through bowl trimmer, that way I don’t waste keif left on sugar leaves.
Once you try it once, youll never go back i wet trim by hand, but bowl trim when dry. Whatever is in the bottom gets squished.. most trimmers come with 2 blades. One for wet trim and one for dry..
12 hours to about 3 hours, probably would have been less, but cleaned them up a little more by hand
Those look great @Tinman . I’m excited to get to use mine for the first time. Nice work!
