Hey Newbie here.
Just harvested my 8 White Widow Autoflowers. I over dried to about to 40 to 48 percent. Plants are in one gallons jars. I added Boveda 62 67 packs to bring them up to correct RH. Should I burp them every day with packs or remove packs when buds reach 62 rh and then start burping or some other combination?
@PurpNGold74
You should probably burp the jars, but more importantly make sure to toss those boveda packs and replace with fresh once the buds equalize.
I dont use those humidity packs i found they dry out the flower to much and the terpenes aswell. I would go to grove bags no need for humidity packs or burping and the terpenes don’t disappear .the grove bags keep ur flower just right
Thanks for the sound advice. Bought some Integra Boost packs on Amazon. Not as pricey as Boveda for 62 67 packs. Will replace the worn out Bovada bags as suggested. My 40 yr old son; my youngest child is disabled and we are growing weed especially for him. He has tried the White Widow Widow autoflower and the ĢDP Photos. He loves them both, but raved about GDP.
We hope to make some gummies when this is all said and done. When everything harvested, dried and in jars looking forward to the next grow, with less plants, better lighting and following all of the directions to get bigger yields.
Don’t stress about bigger yields. This stuff will come as you pick up skills and fine tune your growing environment. I think it’s awesome that you are able and willing to do this for your son, and that he enjoys the fruits of your labor.
Gummies are fun, but seem to be a little more difficult than other edibles. If you run into problems maybe try infusing butter or oils and try things like cookies and brownies.
Make sure you don’t let the Boveda packs touch the bud. It’s been my experience that it has a negative effect on terps. A wood moisture meter and Grove Bags make drying and curing a lot easier. Just dry until the meter reads 12%, dry trim if needed, fill and zip the groves. Done. They’re much easier and foolproof compared to curing in jars.
