Botrytis bud rot (gray mold)?

Hi folks ,
I’m assuming I have Botrytis bud rot (gray mold). Should I harvest early? Or should I still wait for the buds to mature while I watch the spread of the brown stems and bud rotting? I figure the sooner I harvest the better even if the flowers are not maximum ripe? Some bud is better than none eh? ORR I’m assuming I should not smoke any part of this plant?! Thanks fam

No use harvesting early…they are not close to ready. Cut all the bad buds off. Spray with something like PurCrop1 or Dr. Zymes…or even dilute peroxide solution. Your best bet is to stop the spread and save what you can

My two cents

I checked the trichomes on the nugs in the 1st photo and they were all clear! Smelled really good still and looked ripe. Maybe I’ll give to one of my homeless friends to smoke?! Thanks for treatment ideas.

Never seen Botrytis on stems like that it has been in buds not at the nodes, this is a new one to me, @Budbrother what you say??

Looks like it it on the spots where you have removed large fan leaves. Is there anything in that process which might have caused the rotting?

Looks like a stem borer type damage on the brown as it chews its way through the meristem. Personally I’d cull that.

As for spraying and playing whack a mole with botrytis, make sure to bud wash harvest well. I’d do a water cure just to be sure before consuming.

I have no idea. The plant was doing so well then one day..

Water cure meaning bud wash again after buds are dried? Unfamiliar.

There’s a ton of bugs and aphids stuck to one of my harvesting plants. Does anyone know if bud washing with warmish water is good idea to better get the bugs off?

Seems like with room temp water or cold water, the bugs just cling on to the plant when getting washed.

Lastly, does anyone know if the brown discolored parts are mold? I don’t want to take chances since I have lung cancer.

Aloha again BudBro!

The brown if definitely bud rot and if you have health problems I would discard it :green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

It sad, bud rot is so prevalent with my thickest, densest buds a lot of the time for my outdoor grows. I guess that’s for everyone too tho?

Do the whole cannabis world a favor and throw that away. Giving it to someone else is not an option.
Moldy or diseased pot could give another person a lung disease.
Not trying to be an ass just being real.

Yes, dried. Then submerged and held under water to kill off the spores in anaerobic conditions. The water is replaced daily till water runs clear for 3 consecutive days.

Hey man, it’s hard times in these islands. I tell them there’s mold on and they gratefully accept it.
