Bonsai help needed please

@Arrow
High,
I am looking at learning to train my plants. I have watched/read your input and I’ve seen some of your creations. They were cool. So I need some help.
When and how do I Bonsai a plant?
Mine range from 6 to 10 inches right now.
I remember you invited me to a link. Well I lost that link.
Thanks
Ger

Here you go…just remember I’m on the other side of the pond…it may take some time for me to respond…

This is a clone I had in a half gal pot already… I removed her, cut most of the roots off and stuck her in a solo cup …you caught me at the right time today, cause she was in dire need of attention again …

You will see :point_up_2: some burnt tips and nute deficiencies on the older leaves …this plant is root bound ( obviously  ) and is in dire need of a root trim ( I’ll document that and upload soon as I do )…so I did some more training and removed the burnt leaves…

This is just how I did this plant…lots of ways to do it…I have also got a stem wrapped plant …
but I will remove the wrapping and set her free …:sunglasses::v:

May be talking about 2 different things here…

Bonsai would typically be to keep the plant intentionally small and “ornamental”.

Yours is already showing good growth and is…outdoors… Is your actual goal to improve yield as opposed to “bonsai”? Top / FIM / LST, etc?

High,
Yes I want to keep it small and make it ornamental. I had 8 plants last year and they produced well. I have several other plants in the ground so I wanted to just try to make an ornamental plant for “show and tell.” Happy growin

I think @Randy_Marsh can help you. I’ve seen him do things to those trees that will raise my blood pressure.

High,
I had one bud with rot. I cut it and nothing else showed up. I was lucky. Yes a hefty harvest indeed, thanks to all the help from this forum.
Hope to do it again this year.
Happy growin

Not bad For as packed as it was , just small damage , great stuff

High,
Thank you. It was a cool grow. I had 8 plants in there. Fimmed four topped four. Super cropped twice. Had the canopy only everything else was cleared. It was cool. Hope to come at least close this year.
