So far so good. Looking great. I am set to watch. Good growing. ![]()
6/7/20 Ha! Transplant day cancelled! What was I thinking… I’ve probably only got 3 gals of Happy Frog potting soil left… ![]()
… not enough for two 5gal containers…
Ok so with that being said. I’ve watered everything pretty evenly at 6.6ph and 500+/-ppm.
I’ve tried back the 2 I’ve already started lst a little tighter.
Also, no one could convince me to leave that one untrained so I’ve just topped her at what would be the 8th node. I think
As far as the ILGM Banana Kush (fem) goes, they’ll have to stay in the solo cups for at least another 4 days before I can get some more soil to transplant.
Here’s some pictures
6/9/20-- More LST = More bud sites! Sure hope they’re female.
When should I flip 12/12?
Been wanting to get these banana’s transplanted and up to speed but I’m not sure that’ll ever happened haha.
6/11/20-- Prepare for blastoff!! Transplant day for the 2 lovely ILGM feminized bananas! Filled my last two 5gal fabric pots with Happy Frog soil and then topped with 1 full solo cup of perlite, small scoop (that comes with that Myco) of dolomite lime, large scoop of Myco mixed within the top soil. Then I dug out the proper sized hole. Then another small scoop of Myco sprinkled around in that hole! Got those bananas and peeled them! Roots look great! Sat it in the hole and sifted that soil I dug out back in and then water in until I began to see a good amount of run off. Didn’t check the runoffs pH but the bucket of water is pH down to 6.7 And then a light spray of neem oil.
I really do hope the other three will turn out female. The LST and the topping of that one are doing so well. They might look a little rough right now because I’ve applied some more stress with some pipe cleaners
Anyways Check out BoilerGuy’s Go!!
Thanks to everyone

Alright, just watered. Ran pH and ppm test on the runoffs. Feed them each a gallon of water pH’d to 6.6
and additional 1/2 gallon to the 2 bananas, I will explain. And the usual nutes I use getting the water up to 350+/- ppm.
So 6.3 pH throughout all plants
Average of 1500 ppm on my 3 mystery plants and a whopping 2300 ppm on the 2 bananas. Used that additional 1/2 gal of water pH 6.6 and 130ppm to flush some of that excess away. Dimmed the lights a touch as if there are some “clouds” , also cranking up the humidity for the rest of the evening.
But anyway… thoughts? @Zee @kellydans

Edit-- I also will conduct a VERY minimal prune job to open up the bottom portion of the plants that need it.
6/27/20 Watered all plants. Feedwater at 6.6ph and only 190ppm. 3 drops of the Golden and a splash of cal/mag in the 5gal of feedwater. 5gal spread until run off.
ALSO I’ve taken an hour of light away from them. 5am lights on 8pm lights off AND moved the 600 and 1000 up just a couple of inches
Bananas have really took off! Very big fan leafs stretched reaching towards the lights
The others are doing super well and have put more work towards the other branches. So lots of good healthy progress.
Sounds like they’re doing well boiler. Pics are always helpful, even if a day or 2 behind because of light/Dark periods. 190 ppm out is low IMO, is your reading 1900? Some meters are broken into .10
They’re doing so well! I should be able to get some pictures tomorrow afternoon couldn’t this evening as lights off at 8. I’m pushing them a little to try and trigger some preflowers and sex the mystery 3. YES 190ppm is definitely low. But I know I needed to do a slight flush on them as the ppm of the run off was relatively high last time I watered in my opinion. SO… Next time i will definitely be putting some more nutrients into the feedwater getting that ppm up closer to 800ppm then everything should be right back on track.

@Zee you got yourself a grow journal??
No sir. Yours are looking great!! I keep my notes in an Excel file. Here to help you, if you got any questions ![]()
@Zee Question… When is the best time to start another grow/germination process and keep a good rotation with just one grow space. You know like the ultimate goal… just wondering what’s the best time to start… my guess would be 4…5 weeks prior to harvest?
What environment would those 2nd seeds start in? Same tent as flower would be a no-go, what do you have to work with?
Yes they’d be under a 12/12
Why would it be a no go?
It’s all Ive got to work with.
Sorry, boiler. Thought you had a HPS set up like me in flower tent.
You can definitely start another round. I would time just about the time you transplant them from solo cup to 3 gallon container.
7/1/20-- Water day
Feedwater at 6.2pH and 380ppm. Runoff averaging for the mystery 3 are at 1300 and the Bananas are still way up at 2200ppm.
pH of the runoff averaged 6.3
Ive noticed they’re drinking heavily at this point.
7/4/20-- Happy Independence day!

When should I “flip”?
I know my 2 bananas are feminized but can’t say the same for the other 3.
The 2 bananas have sprouted 45 days ago where as I started germinating the others on 4/20/20 sprouted shortly after. Watering can be a hassle and will only get worse as they grow bigger with heavy, crowded colas. I’ve got the urge to flip. What’s your thoughts by how they look? Ps. I’ve only got a 4x4 Thanks!
This is a northern lights I am currently growing. Flipped on day 55. First pistils 6 days later. Do you see any of these. Indicates mature enough to flower.
Let me get some close up pictures quick
