These plants are ~ 8 weeks old. All the leaves are mini-leaves, and the lower leaves turn brown after the next set grows in. Now it appears that it is in the flowering phase. I have had 2 seed from this batch grow like this, 2 that did not germinate and 2 which are growing normally. Do I have a bad batch of seeds?

It looks like an auto. Autos don’t deal with stress very well. I suspect the culprit is overwatering, which stunts plants.
Seedlings should only get a few ml of water per day. Never water a plant more than it is capable of drying the soil completely out within 2 to 3 days. Cannabis withstands dry soil far better than it does wet soil. Wet/dry cycles are necessary for root health.

Probably should provided more info. These are White Widow auto, and the same variety I purchased last year grew normally

I do anything number of things “wrong”, but I didn’t think overwatering was one of them

It looks like you have her in a peat pot (apologies if I’m mistaken). They are notrious for holding too much moisture and cause root issues. Also can be difficult to transplnt if the roots stick to the pot. I suggest using red solo cups for seedling.

I killed and tortured many plants with loving them to death.
What soil are you using?
Have you been adding nutrients as well?

I want to thank everyone for their feedback. Obviously, I am a beginner, with last year being my first attempt. Apparently my underwhelming success last year was beginner’s luck.
