After drying for a day, the THC oil is looking less RSO-y. I have been kinda stirring it and spreading it around every so often. After checking the Source fb group, it seems a lot of people will allow their oil to dry on a silicone mat, then kinda fold the goo and stir it up over a week or so.

Love kicking my alcohol extraction into the next gear! Lots of new stuff learn!

They don’t call it Alhashka for nothing! :+1:

I’ve been told doing this to the oil is called, “whipping”.

Didn’t know that, thanks.

What’s it for?

It’s an Ultrasonic Cleaner. I plan on putting my herbs and alcohol into there for the wash. The yield should be better with a shorter soak time, among a myriad of reasons to try this. :grinning:.

I am doing some major experimentation!

Hell yeah!

I was going to buy a paint can shaker as @ThcinKC is using, but this looks interesting as all hell.

I was just going to go with a rocker table or something, but then I stumbled across Ultrasonic Extracting and thought: hey, I can rig something up to kind of approximate the fancy schmancy stuff.

I plan on still using ethanol, then putting the filtered solution into the Source. Hoping to seriously increase yields.

Sounds like a solid plan. Great work, thanks for sharing.

I hope it didn’t cost as much as the ones in the link you shared. :grinning:

Oh, gosh, no! Lol! It only cost $60, plus the Source was $486. Significantly less expensive, but still made me po’.

Been whipping it up twice a day since the 27th.

Latest CBD run. Used 2oz decarbed CBD trim, 2 cups of ice cold 190 proof, and the ultrasonic machine for 12 minutes.

Fresh from The Source:

After a few hours on a heat mat:

About 2 days after processing:

2 full days after processing. Just stirred it up. Isn’t it beautiful? Tomorrow, it’ll be turned into some incredibly smooth tincture:

Next THC run I do, I hope it turns out as nice. Will try making a cart, if it does.
