Best way to cool off a tent?

I have an Apollo 6" inline fan filter combo for my exhaust and apollo 4" inline fans for intake. My tent is 4’x4’x6’. I have a 600w mh/hps light. My temps are runnin in the low to mid 80’s if I don’t have my 16" fan blowing in from the side door when the light is on. How can I lower the temps? When I run the 16" fan as well they stay around mid to upper 70’s. Maybe a small ac unit, or what would y’all suggest?

The obvious solutions is the combination of a vented hood and a AC unit , it really depend on your budget. AC unit gone a cost you more then a Vented hood , so, you know me @Hawkeye_diesel … LED all the way for my opinion :grinning::grinning::grinning::grinning::wink::wink:, lol

Do you have lower passive vents open?

What is the room temperature the tent is in?

Yes the passive air vents are open the room it’s in is around low 70’s. I hadn’t thought of a sealed hood for the light. I’m gonna look into those

In that case, unless you can turn up the fan more, the vented hood sounds like a smart idea

You’ll have to change your venting around a bit but I bet it makes a big difference. @Niala :+1:

For the price of an AC unit you can have this

And for 40 bucks more, you can have what I have, the 1000 watts one :grinning::wink::grinning:

I eventually want some led’s, but for right now I think I’m gonna get a hood and just use my 4" fan to pull the heat out. I think that’ll cut heat pretry well.
