Hey you guys I’m trying to figure out a way to cool down my tent.my house stays around 75 degrees but my tent goes to the extreme almost 91 degrees. I have a fan blowing air though vent and 2 fans exhausting out.
When you say fans exhausting out are you talking about inline fans with ducting or clip ons pointed out the vent holes or something else?
@GrowGod700.
Pics of your set up would help a bit.
Also where is the air for the tent sourced. And where does it exhaust to.
Theres your problem my friend. Grab an inline fan for exhaust. Position it at the top of the tent and run the ducting somewhere away from the tent. You can get some more ducting and run it from one of the lower vent holes away from where you are sending your exhaust to another part of the room and you will see a huge difference.
Ok. That says a lot.
I have a couple of those turbo fans but they stay on the floor to circulate air under the canopy.
A proper exhaust set up exiting the room would go a long way to solving your heat issues.
Depending on the size of your tent you may need a 6 in version. May be a few $$ more.
And don’t feel bad I was doing the same damn thing with clip on fans two weeks ago. They set me straight here.
I’m in a closet so here’s what I did I am using intake fan as well but it’s hot in Florida. You prob don’t need one just the ducting and the negative pressure from exhaust will suck cold air in
Thanks I’m gonna try to get one
WHen you say your fans are on the floor. do you mean inside of tent or outside blowing through vents?
@GrowGod700. On the floor. I’m in an 11x14 room. No tent. .
My exhaust fan is 10 in and intake fan is 8 in.
The fans , 2 turbo fans are under my canopy to circulate air
And I also have an 18 in and 16 in stand up oscillating fans for the canopy top.
Good Air flow and air exchange are very necessary for a successful grow.
My exhaust vents outside the house and I draw my intake air from my basement.
Thanks lol I’ll be asking more questions as I go
I have two grow tents that I was having all kinds of heat issues with until I just recently hooked up this exhaust system. My temps are now perfect in both tents. I have one 400CFM in line fan sucking from both tents. I installed dampers in the T coming from each tent so I can regulate the individual draw from each tent since they aren’t the same size. I also have a fan motor controller so I don’t have to, and don’t need to run this fan at full volume which makes it sound like a jet taking off.
Ymfbo My setup is also all automatically controlled which runs into a little money unless you accumulate this stuff a little at a time. My heat and cooling is controlled automatically, and also my tent humidity is controlled. I have a fog machine that runs when humidity is needed, automatically. I spritz my plants a little once in a while, and move them around a little but that’s it. Get some controlling units for your tent setup, very beneficial.
My ac infinity fan came in today I need help setting up. I’m not sure we’re to put in tent or outside of tent
I’d hang that fan on the outside of the tent, mount it to the wall right next to the tent and either vent up through the ceiling, or out the wall. I have mine sucking from two different tents and then goes up through the ceiling to a 1200 Sq Ft wide open attic. Some people like putting everything in the tent, I don’t do that. Of course I only have two small tents.
Keep in mind you want it to pull out hot air as close to the top as you can get it.
