Best pot size for autos?

Hello!

Hope all of you are doing well!

I know this questions seems coming back, but I can’t decide myself on which pot to pick!

3 / 5 / 7 gals?

I plan to run 3plants, HLG 350 Diablo light.

Cheers!

Larger the container the less frequently you’ll have to water

Ill also add the larger the container, if in soil, the less you have to feed if your soil is preloaded.

Also more room for roots, which equals bigger yielding plants!

They say being that auto flowers have a shorter life cycle than a photo, that a 3 to 5 gallon is perfect. I use a 5.

If your in a little tent with 3 plants 3gal are fine.

If you’re in a 4x4 tent with 3 plants 5 gal is perfect.

5 gallon seems to be the go-to with photos. (Photos can get monstrous)

I grow nothing but autos in a 4x4 and I always use 3 gallon pots and they normally get just as big as photos and always seem happy in 3gal

I would recommend the 3 gallon fabric bags :love_you_gesture:

Welcome aboard. I use 5-7 for auto. 7-20 for photo typically. Organic/living soil. Bigger yield. Less work. Small pots require more attention. Anathema to us lazy assed people.

I like running 5 gallon fabric pots. Seem to be a happy balance for me.

You can grow some big plants in 3 gallon pots Growmie, I normally run 2 plants per 2 x 4. I would consider running 5 gallon pots if I had a larger tent :love_you_gesture:
