Nutrients is something I learned from others that treated growing as a almost religious experience, for years i never questioned their recipe. Enter langenbrite and things will never be the same. Sometimes it pays off to listen to another point of view. The proof is always in the pudding. Is there anybody left that adds nutrients to soil at beginning of year for the entire grow cycle, or do the majority add nutrients through watering?

It’s doable if you amend enough. But it’s likely a lot. I’d imagine finding balance will be a learning experience. Usually organic growers top dress as needed.

Though still new to the world of growing cannabis, I add nutrients per watering. This gives me the opportunity to know and control feeding.

Yup good question but there really isn’t a right or wrong answer as it depends on alot of variables on how/where you grow.
I will use myself and my growing practices as an example. I am a transplanter so from germ to harvest, my girls live in 4 homes.
Using this method, I do not feed my girls until the 2nd week in the largest pot in the pic above which is a 10 gallon. She is in each home for 4 weeks and 8 for the 10 gal. I use a combo of Happy-Ocean-Coco loco from FF. There is enough food in the soil when I transplant to keep her fed for the 4 weeks she is in each home. Once I am in the final pot, as mentioned, I will give a half strength feed the 2nd week and then I pay attention to the plant. I do check runoff but only if I see issues. I have not purchased a TDS/PPM meter yet, again I look at the plant to see if she needs something. I only grow one at a time in a 40x40x72" tent. I have been giving this girl, which is a land race strain of Acapulco Gold, more light than typical and more food/feedings than any of my other girls as she still hasn’t shown me painted nails. Assuming she needs more, like she needs me to push her. So, that is what I have been doing.

Lastly, my nutes are liquid. I use Mother Earth 2-4-4 and Alaska 0-10-10. Added Cal Mag, silica and molasses when needed.

Interesting. Good info there. Thanks. I like the idea of not transplanting them if not needed but whatever works. That’s what I love about this. There are as many ways to do this successfully as there are people doing it! My big girl is old enough (auto) it should be showing buds but not seeing any yet. I fed for first time 2 days ago. Will flush with plain water next 2 waterings. Hoping that helps push her into flowering. Thanks again. I appreciate the detailed descriptions.
